Ooh! Me too! We are clearly sophisticated and tasteful people.

Rihanna and Beyonce are my equal faves, no one else even come close

I used to love Christina Aguilera, but her career has started to fade and her music just isn't as good, but ill always be a fan.

I have a love hate relationship with Lady Gaga and Katy Perry, some songs I love some i absolutely despise, i dont really like eithers image and also i could never stan for someone who performs like Katy, she's great in an acoustic setting but she gets lost in all her ott production and cant put on a show like the other big pop girls.

In terms of the UK I like Cheryl Cole, slag off her voice all you want but she has a nice tone and a competent voice compared to some and above all she is an unbelievable performer with good songs.

Madonna reigns supreme for me. I loved MDNA and think it's very underrated...imho she's still got it.

Going back into the past, I love people like Donna Summer, Karen Carpenter, the Abba girls, and Bananarama.

Amazing, no love for Adele on this thread. Perhaps she isn't seen as a pop star?

I'm not sure how Agnetha of ABBA fits in , she was part of a mixed supergroup in the 70s/80s but she is not big as a solo artist in this modern era?

I like the majority of them in one way or another, with the exception of Lady Gaga.
I will pick Kylie and Madge as I've grown up listening to their music since i was probably about 5 years old

Pink and Kelly Clarkson. And Christina Aguilera, even if she doesn't have as much success these days as she used to.

I do think that is the reason. I love both her albums but she didn't come into my head for this. When I think popstar I think of people like rihanna, Katy etc who have crazy videos, dance routines and a well crafted image.

I agree.

I'm a big fan of Adele, but she's not a "popstar" to me. There are several artists I love but didn't name because they don't fit the tradional popstar mould.

Rihanna by an absolute mile. Can't think of a RiRi song I don't like.

Lorde or Foxes.

I don't like trashy artists such as Rihanna.

I don't think Agnetha is popular in the mainstream but she probably has a fanbase who buy her music and follow her career. As for Adele, I don't see her as a popstar. I see her as a singer.

Kylie, Kylie, Kylie! Will probably always be my favourite

Do like Rihanna, Katy Perry, Gaga and Madonna though - have very little time for current Britney but old Britney I liked.

MADONNA.....even though she isnt "popstar" but in Pop music always and forever...she changed the game..and her music touches my soul and engages my mind...a truly inspiring woman...and across 33 years she still has it and cannot wait to see or hear what she does next...and tbh without her there would be no thread here.

Kate Bush, grace jones, Debbie Harry, Cyndi Lauper, Britney Spears, Bjork, Siouxsie Sioux, Yoko Ono are a handful of my ALL TIME favourites.

Out of todays starlets...

Lady gaga, Lana Del Rey, Robyn, Rihanna, Kesha, Lorde, Sky Farrera, grimes, Charli XCX, Solange, are the only ones that really REALLy interest me either musically or in performances just want to see/hear what they do next....some need to make it bigger others are big but yeah love those guys

It's got to be Sia for me. I've worshiped that girl since I was 17 (so maybe around 2005/6). Her music touches a nerve with me and has really spoken to me during challenging times.
