Incredible Characterisation in EE
Excellent, amazing character development from two of the best and most iconic characters in soap.
Carol has been hurt and let down and abandoned and heartbroken for years and years and Years Every time she has taken David Back. Her cancer scare has obviously made her put her entire life into perspective. She doesn't want to waste her final years hoping that hell be faithful and loyal. Hoping he won't take off again. Hoping his heart is in it. It's ironic that the one time I truely believe he is serious about committing forever is the one time Carol finally says enough. She can't keep putting herself through it. She is drawn to David whenever he's around. The thins she loved about him was the challenge if changing him. If he changed then whats the point. The thing she loves is gone. It was incredible writing and incredible characterisation I really hope Carol doesn't come off too badly with the fans David's put her through so much. |

Crying buckets also, so love David. Michael French is just brilliant and will be so badly missed. Carol you are a fool.

It was one of my fave episodes of the year. It felt like classic EE of old.

Agreed. The writing was fantastic. I love deep examination of character like this. Had such a lump in my throat watching it.

I actually thought Carol was half hoping he'd prove her wrong and refuse to go. It was so sad.

There was certainly something timeless about tonight's episode.
Michael French and Lindsey Coulson put every single other soap actor or actress well into the shade as far as I am concerned. |

Amazing tonight. This is what soaps should aspire to more often!
I've always loved David and really felt for him tonight. Michael and Lyndsey really made me believe that they felt the pain of a first love that never quite goes away. I've felt that pain and recognised the desperately raw emotions when they were dancing. Let's just hope David does return at some point as Michael French is superb and needs to be on TV. |

One of the best episodes I've seen in a long time. |
