Liam prefers to keep it real with gangster rap such as Little Mix.

Liam single handedly carried the episode, just as he has the show since those awful Carters were introduced.

The nation is still in awe of his battle of wits with Kane.

EDIT: I have less posts than I did earlier, have the mods been out to play

Ooh, that's quite hip. They should have played Heavyweight Champion of the World when David was spirited away. Be like everybody else, be like everybody else etc

I did laugh for about half a second, but then I felt uncomfortable, because he was complaining about music, while his mother was bawling her eyes out at the table

I like that song, probably the only R and TM song I know!

I have to agree. The charts do not lie.

The song was used in Medium over a dead body in a lake...think someone on EE is a medium fan.

The likes of Liam or anyone taking out a sense like hearing is inviting death..so stupid

Liam Wiggins has terrible taste in music! He should stick to the cycling!

I found it funny.

And it prevented the dancing from becoming too sickly-sweet.

I didn't find it funny. I found it quite realistic (in a depressing way) that a teenager would have no knowledge (or appreciation) of music from before their time and also not pick up on the sub text - what it being played at that moment actually meant for his grandparents relationship and why his mum was bawling her eyes out.

But then, it is one of bianca's brats - Liam's usually better than the other 3 but they are all ill informed and tactless with no real understanding of social niceties or boundaries. Witness tiffany with Rebecca yesterday.

Yeah even for a teenage boy that was insensitive. But still quite funny!

For me too. Whenever I hear it now I'm going to be picturing David and Carol sobbing all over each other!

Exactly the way I saw it. I think lots of teens listening to their grandparents music (even though IIRC song was from before David and Carol's 'time', perhaps more their own parents?) might well turn their noses up in distaste. And this is Liam, not exactly quick off the mark to pick things up at the best of times ...

Liam listens to Little Mix so I wouldn't take him seriously when it comes to musical taste. I found it more irritating that he was angry at David for forgetting Carol's test results. The man just had a near heart attack for fig's sake!

Yes. I do think Liam is the kindest of Bianca's children but sadly probably the least intelligent. Sorry but I really do think there is quite a nasty streak in Tiffany - i'm increasingly sure that she knows she is crossing lines behaviour wise but relies on the 'cute' factor and the fact that Bianca will defend her month matter what. Morgan is younger and I think basically sweet but really should be old enough to pick up some stuff by now. Don't get me started on Whitney.

So, thar perhaps lack of intelligence combined with just normal 'being a teenager' would be enough for Liam to be clueless.

And I agree with the poster that said it was unfair for him to have a go at David for forgetting Carol's test results when he'd just had a heart attack. Especially as the appointment was supposed to have been cancelled due to them going on honeymoon - it was discussed late last week I think.
