At Christmas I bought a Now TV box with 3 months Sky Movies for £25 from Tesco as a present. The gift was not wanted and returned to me. I did try the one month free Sky movies offer but hardly watched and cancelled. after a week. I have hardly ever used the box until today. I remembered there was a 3 month pass with the box so I thought I would use it before it expires. I scratched the card to reveal the code and entered it in. Oops came back saying it was invalid even though I had only scratched the card for the number 5 minutes earlier. After repeatedly trying I managed to get to live chat (took an hour). Told the guy on the other end. He asked me for the code and he told me it had already been used and was invalid. I told him that I had only scratched the card 90 minutes earlier. He asked me the box number and where I had got it. Effectively he was not prepared to do anything apart from telling me to contact Tesco.
Someone is now using this code by fraud but I bet Now TV do not switch them off. How did they get this code because it is not me. I only knew what it was at 11:30am. Is Now TV security none existent?
I telephoned Tesco and they were only too helpful. After explaining what had happened they offered a replacement box with new code or a full refund.
