Yes he is!
Now can we put him in the Tower of London please? |

He may be of some benefit as an English Treasure, but he's been of no benefit to the English Treasury.

Your justification for him being a national treasure rests on three subjective points about music, something he did for the entertainment industry to line his own pockets and something he did for some pointless, super rich old bint, who has done nothing to earn her extremely luxurious lifestyle. Not the strongest argument if we're honest.
As for your other point, it's kind of odd to throw out that question and then make up the answer yourself before you've even given anyone the chance to respond to it. I'll tell you what the average person does for the UK- they work bloody hard, pay tax and do a damn sight more work than Gary and his shitty clichéd love songs. |

Gary Barlow thinks Cheryl Cole can sing and thought it would be a good idea to include her in the Jubilee concert.
He's an idiot that managed to get very lucky, although he does have a nice singing voice. He also needs a shave and a good tailor. |

Who came up with the overused phrase "national treasure" in the first place? The first person I heard it applied to was John Thaw.

Gary Barlow's treasure isn't English, it's all held in the name of his budgie abroad

All I can say is "Thank god Barlow isn't Scottish!" England is welcome to have him (or not, as the case may be!)

I used to quite like him back in the 90s I really liked both his solo records from that period. Now I don't know what it is these days with him but I've really grown to dislike him and his music, it was like a flick of a switch and I honestly cannot pinpoint an exact reason to why I've grown to loath him.
