I'm treating myself right now to a dark chocolate baton with my espresso. I've been keeping a supply of them from Hotel Chocolat- either the 70 or 85%. One a day is enough to keep the cravings away. I hate feeling deprived.

I'm so envious. I was fortunate to be given a gift a few years ago made up of a selection of Hotel Chocolat yummy stuff. I do buy gifts for other people from Hotel Chocolat but I never buy it for myself.

I treat myself too often !!!

I get my large Tesco shop on the first day of the month and I always have stuff in there that I shouldn't. This time I bought a large family bag of Revels. I also tend to get a cake. My current favourites are fresh cream apple turnovers. Yum.

I've got zero willpower so I have a treat extremely rarely. Usually a full English brekkie if I'm staying in a hotel. That's it though, I know what I'm like!

I'm quite partial to those Tesco's conflake clusters which are only a quid. I main;y shop at Morrisons so when I'm in Tesco I'll always get them

When I got my Sainsbury's food delivered ~ I used to ~always dig into the egg mayo
spinach leaves cherry tomatoes with some french stick & some beetroot or yummy olives & lots of black pepper and maybe salad cream
and if I'd ordered some walker's salt n vinegar crisps I would have to have some of them too
another treat was some peanut butter & jam on top of toast

These days my treats tend to be :-
A bit of cheese [ Mexicana Cheese is recent a fave ]
or some chocolate / dark is best
or a yoghurt
or some pineapple
I will often have my must have's most days = salad cream & Houmous

Lidl Cheese Twists. I have to have one, or two, whenever I pop in.

Doesn't everyone eat treats?! I do. And what do you mean by 'still'? Didn't know junk food, chocolate or sweets were for people only of a certain age? And the Lindt Excellence Chilli chocolate is divine. I prefer milk chocolate though.

It's nothing to do with age, Orangemaid said 'still' because she has been dieting for ages and lost loads of weight. So she meant she still eats chocolate on her healthy eating plan.

Anyway, I have a treat night every Saturday (sometimes it's the only thing that keeps me on my healthy eating plan!) usually a takeaway and a bottle of red. Never been much of a sweet person, I prefer savoury treats.

My last treat was a pack of six chocolates from 'Hotel Chocolat', they were a new type (Rhubarb and ginger) that were so tasty.

I go through stages of having little treats like that.
Sometimes I will eat stuff like that daily, other times nothing will pass my lips for weeks.

If i'm in the town shopping i'll always stop for a cappuccino and a chocolate browny from one of the major coffee shops.

I always find the thought of the treat much better than the actual treat itself when I get it - am I weird?

Ah I see! Sorry about that. Never can tell on food and drink forum. A few treats are acceptable on diets, they keep you doing. Good luck Orangemaid dark chocolate is definitely better than milk health wise. Not sure about the chippy mind

I've been having far too many treats lately, so am having to cut down.
However as I have been swimming today I am going to have a couple of digestives with a cup of coffee later on.

I have a few oven chips ( thick cut) with a spoon of curry sauce on a Friday - along with my microwaved plain, Quorn fillet & mushrooms.

Gosh, I'd kill for peanut butter on toast, olives & feta or a cheese & onion toastie/pasty. A low fat diet doesn't allow for this tho'.

I just eat what I want when I want. Always have some biscuits on my desk at work which I much on during the day, I always have a bar of chocolate after my lunch and I always have dessert after dinner. If I don't go out at night at weekend I'll have cheese and biscuits or pate or something like that at around 11pm whilst watching TV/DVDs. So I guess it's not really a "treat" if I have them every day. Luckily I'm one of those people who can eat absolutely anything and my weight never changes. I've been a 30" waist since I was 18 and I still am at 33.
