Was just wondering if anyone had an actor wish list for a companion to travel with Capaldi's Doctor after Clara leaves.

I've been watching In The Flesh and Emily Bevan is so DoctorWhoCompanionesque (new word alert) I would love to see her in the role.

Anna Chancellor would be great. Amita Dhiri. Someone cool, elegant and all class.

i think Hannah Tointon would make a great companion for the doctor she seems to have that bubbly cute nature to her and also looks like she could give him a challenge

I remember Hannah Murray being rumoured for when Amy and Rory left, and I still think she would be a good choice.

I think Hannah Murray looks uncannily like Lalla Ward

hadn't thought about it before, but there's a definite similarity. I think it's a sign that she should be chosen

What about Hetti Bywater, now that's she's left EastEnders? She would be great.

She strikes me as more suited for a villain role personally

She's a bit young but then again when has that ever stood in the way of good casting before?

Maybe she could come into the show as a regenerated version of Jenny, the Doctor's Daughter? Would love that!

It is possible, although I would like to see a regeneration between Georgia and Hetti on screen, instead of seeing Jenny already 'changed'.

Actors are actors; characters are characters. I don't know what the character is going to be so I don't give any thought as to who the actor should be. I'm only interested in characters. I'm not interested in an actor as a personality.

Yes, I think she'd be perfect in that capacity.

But people base their choice of actor in the types of character the actor has played otherwise you may as well just point at any person and say they'd do.

I quite liked Tamla Kari who was in The Musketeers with Peter Capaldi. Quite a good actress I thought.

Sure when the time is right she will have a good exit. Don't know about a new companion. Maybe the musketer girl would be good. Seeing as they already know eachother and have worked together.

Peter and Anna had great chemistry in The Hour.

Someone either a little older than Jenna but ultimately, I'd like a period companion. Much as I love the modern day Clara, I do think it was a missed opportunity that the show didn't keep the Victorian version to an extent.

In terms of actresses, hard to decide really. If we're going for recasts, how about Emma Campbell-Jones playing a different role from the ones she did in The Wedding Of River Song/The Night Of The Doctor.

Or Natalie Dormer. She's all kinds of awesome.

Emily Bevan or Katherine Parkinson would be brilliant, especially Katherine with Peter Capaldi, I can imagine them being spectacular together. Emily Bevan would be pretty good playing a character from the past I think, maybe 60s or 70s. If we were to go with bigger actresses, I think Gemma Arterton could be wonderful with Capaldi. I also wouldn't say no to Lena Heady but obviously she's a major character in probably the biggest show currently on television, eh maybe she might have a guest role someday.

Eleanor Tomlinson. Been in a few things, two episodes of SJA the most Doctor Who-y, but a cracking actor, good talent, seen a few films. Bound to go places - would be nice if Trenzalore was one of them.

I would like to see Sacha Parkinson in the role.

Also her characters reason for coming on board the TARDIS is that her boyfriend/girlfriend was kidnapped by aliens and she persuades the Doctor to help her find him/her.

A series will be spent searching and possibly another series (Depending on the results of the search) showing the aftermath of the search.
