He's the worst 'loller' I've ever seen.
He was exactly the same in Corrie, so it must be one of his own personal traits that he can't control. Stubbsy is completely incapable of sitting near somebody without lolling right into their personal space. Plus he does that thing when he sits down, where he spreads himself right out, thus taking up the space of about three people. The space hogging git. Imagine being sat in the back of a Mini with him on a long journey! And as for that strut he does (you can hardly describe it as a walk), well he looks like he's just got down off his horse ready to drink some milk. The bugger should be wearing a ten-gallon hat and saying "Yeehaaa" as he enters the Woolpack I reckon.

Maybe he's caught something off one of the cows. He'll be steaming out his ears and frothing at the mouth soon.

He might have sinus problems. I do and find it difficult to breathe through my nose, I have to breathe through my mouth a lot.

Terrible actor. I'd been hearing great things about Bill Ward before he joined Emmerdale. I don't remember him being this bad as Charlie Stubbs in Corrie. Apparently, he'd been good as a guest actor in various things since then. He's truly appalling these days. James Barton as a character played by him just hasn't worked.

TO THINK HE WAS THE BEST THING ABOUT CORONATION STREET... Then he tries to replicate Charlie Stubbs but it just doesn't work in Emmerdale, No idea why, bad actor, bad stories?
I still think to this day he was Corrie's last great bad boy that didn't need to kill someone to get that status. Owen Armstrong was a fail in that role but Pat Phelan has fast become a great Corrie bad lad and hopefully Tony Stewart will to. |

Inside Soap mentioned what a terrible barman he was... invading personal space and talking about his own problems all the time.
James Barton was much better. |
