Well I'm sorry but there is only one person I feel sorry for apart from Tina...and that's Peter.....the rest of them are just hypocrites.. in particular Carla Rob Michelle the whole lot of them apart from Steve and Tracy at least they seemed to have some compassion.

Tracey? Compassion? Two words that can't be in the same dictionary together, but I know what you mean! I was expecting at least one or two vindictive comments from her and a lot more relish about the death.

Peter did look very sorry for himself to be sure. But my God, he was the orchestrator of it all. Life had to sink its jaws into his ass at some time. He wouldn't be sorry if it hadn't all gone wrong for him don't forget.

Peter can rot in hell for all I care!
Why should he get sympathy over having an affair, which was the motivation for Tina's death.

Funnily enough, I find him quite attractive when he is a raving incapable drunk. I think they put extra eyeliner on him or something.

Like when Carla's affair with Liam led to him being bumped off by Tony?

This If Peter had messed up his own life that'd be bad enough but look at all the people who have been hurt along the way. Peter's on self destruct and nobody can help him unless he truly wants to help himself.

maybe your maternal instinct coming out? He plays a very good drunk though. I find him quite fanciable with or without the additional eyeliner

Yeah I felt sorry for Peter too. Carla shouldn't accuse Peter of murder in front of everyone anyway as its slanderous. I hope when Robs found out Peter will rub Carla's face in it. It would be good if Peter is the one who can bring Rob down.

On saying that though, I am happy some ruthlessness has been injected into Carla. This is better than scenes wallowing on about babies and possibly being a bad mother. Alison King played it well, and I loved her with Roy. Glad that he is getting more involvement.

I felt sorry for him, that wasn't even a full bottle of voddy Carla gave him.
It wasn't the decent blue label stuff either.

Bone idle Liz could have nipped down to the cellar in a trice and got him a full one you'd have thought, it's not as if she does anything else behind that bar except wear trowels of make-up and snog Tony, the lazy cow.

Yes, quite a few people let Peter down tonight I thought.
Kindly Deirdre wasn't one of them though.
She randily offered to share her bath with him and then watch a tidy pottery docu together in her loose-fitting robe.
Pound to a penny she'd have made sure her knockers fell out at some point as well.

It's one of the times I miss Ken. Realistically he would be back to look after Peter in his time of need.

Maybe they forgot to contact Ken like everyone seemingly forgot to contact Tina's real mother when Tina was dying. In a couple of months it will finally come to them.

What I like about Peter is that although he's a spineless gimp with women and booze, he is inherently a decent guy who does actually have a conscience. He felt grief for the tragedy in a young girl dying before she'd really lived.

I bet Rita will be sharp with him too now.
He'll have to buy his ciggies over at Dev's for the time being I'm thinking.

Poor Peter.

Loool. However Maybe not uncle q. They could well bond as their hands reach for the same bottle of voddy. Peter can teach Reet to call for a street cab instead of driving after a day on the sauce. Reet in turn can teach barlow how to discipline curly.

Outside his cheating and boozing Peter can be a great guy all round. Unfortunately he is burdened with these two issues.
He has shown compassionate moments, like being nice to John Stape and keeping his job open for him when he had a breakdown, or wasn't so quick to judge Tyrone who was being accused by most of the street of beating up Kirsty despite being innocent. And last year when Hayley was diagnosed with her cancer he was being kind to Sally and asked if she was alright due to her experiences.

Are people forgetting Tina acting like a bunny boiler ?
She practically laid it on a plate for him then whinged 'cos he loves his wife and decided he wanted to stay with her. Tina was the architect of her own death in a roundabout way..
If she had left quietly then she'd still be here.

Poor Peter.

I agree in a way, she was an attractive young girl who had fit blokes like David Platt, Graeme Proctor and Tommy Duckworth, yet then had her sights on the man who goes weak when a woman shows affection and turns to booze for comfort. She could of had anyone but wanted him.

Then again, he reminded her of her dad, I guess I can see the attraction even though its quite disturbing...

True Sorcha, very true.
I'd momentarily forgotten about Rita's dependency for the sauce mate.
They have quite a bit in common really, both are dreadful alkies, both like a tune when they're sozzled and both had unhealthy obsessions with Tina.

I think she may still indulge in a spot of finger pointing though.
It's pretty unlucky for Peter that Rita still owns that shop that she sold to Norris that time.

Indeed. Totes awkward. I think he's going to have to fork out a small fortune in Dev's place for a while. The baked beans were ridiculously expensive so god knows what dev charges for 10 packs a day of b&h and vodka. He'll have to get back on her good side. I don't think he knows who she is unless he asks the coppers
