As far as the trailer goes I noticed it doesn't actually state the time it just says all next week. Which is a bit silly.
I have seen that trailer and thought the same, then last night they used the same trailer but the caption now stated 'Tomorrow at 7pm"

Ah ok nice to see they finally stated the time now shame they didn't do it a bit earlier as that trailer has been on a few times now during the football matches.

Stupid airing EE early at 7 pm. If they have MOTD in prime they should air it another night.

A sizeable percentage of viewers will tune in to World Cup matches as event television, due to it being an iconic competition. A France v Honduras friendly would be tucked away on BBC Three and have rated under 1m viewers.

Great to see primetime matches rating so well. It does give viewers who dislike Soaps something of an alternative to watch. I believe the England match will top 13.5m viewers and a 60% share, maybe with a peak of 17.5 million.

Instead of trying to squeeze in 4 episodes in a crowded week, I'd just not show some and wait for the busy period to quieten down. Would have been better foe the programme to avoid clashes.

As I posted in one of the soap forum threads, I think EE should have been aired at 10pm on a few days following big World Cup matches. It would've been risky, but would've at least rated higher than 7pm (especially with the lead out).

On Friday it would've benefitted massively - possibly 5m minimum? Cutting the post-match analysis to finish at 10pm would've boosted the coverage rating too, and a quick cut to EE would've retained a large chunk of the audience for at least the first few minutes.

Tonight not so much - Iran v Nigeria is not a big game. One night off wouldn't hurt though. But Tuesday and Wednesday again following Brazil v Mexico and Spain v Chile would be good too.

I haven't really been following Fargo's ratings, but I'm sure it was getting similar a few weeks back? So it's not being affected by the footie?

It was a series low but only by about 100K or so I think.

That's not such a crazy idea but then the news would be at 10.30pm and that would open a public service broadcasting can of worms.

Corrie writers plan their 2638th cheating storyline of the last 18 months. Other storylines are available but apparently not as exciting as affairs.

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/s3...-newcomer.html

I don't even watch yet I'm increasingly aware of how ridiculous this is becoming! Lazy stuff and sure to affect viewing figures if this continues.

gets rather difficult when there are four episodes in a 7-day period, and plenty of World Cup matches scattered throughout the week.

Anyway, as I have indicated before, perhaps there is too much emphasis placed upon the overnights for EE, the consolidated figures will probably be much better, as I am sure that a fair amount of timeshifting will have taken place.

I can imagine the outcry and complaints from EE viewers though if their programme had been rested.

Well they should learn to get lives instead of watching miserable cockneys. Too many soaps. All should be scrapped or cut down.

Anyone think these cheating storylines cause promisciousity? Give it time, these soaps will kill themselves off.

Sunday

Rank Channel Time Programme OOOs Share
1 ITV3 05:55 PM Midsomer Murders 903 5%
2 ITV3 08:00 PM Mamma Mia! 847 3.9%

3 E4 06:00 PM The Big Bang Theory 554 3.3%

9 ITV3 03:50 PM Lewis 457 3.7%
10 Sky1 09:00 PM Hawaii Five-0 456 2%

Despite the main channel suffering from uninteresting rpt's on ITV, ITV3 is reaping the benefits.

The millionth rpt of Mamma Mia got almost 900k. Obviously a good opposite to football on the main channels.

Mamma Mia repeats so well, it will be like a Dirty Dancing it seems, always does well.

Any other non football/non BBC ratings for other channels? BBC2, Channel 5, Channel 4 (besides Fargo which was already posted)?

The Andrew Marr Show 1.5m 23% Lowest of ITV media's top ten.

Everything else is reported from ITV media.

Didn't think the French game would rate so well. It's been a great tournament so far, well deserved ratings.

Welcome.

Emmerdale should surely be looking at high 6's in Corrie's 7:30 slot.
I was saying that's what I expect EastEnders to get, not Emmerdale.

Should be a lot better than Friday, they are running a trailer for this week and advertising it at 7.00pm, already been on a few times this morning. Going by Emmerdale's recent ratings I'd be hoping for high 5's at least.
Least they are trying and DTC doing as much as he can as even tweeted today

Could be another shock return tonight!
#EastEnders: tonight 1900 hrs. Everything is about to change for Sharon. And we have another surprise for you...
I hoping for High of 6.8.

Also Anyone got Ratting for Japan match? that was on 2AM

Absolutely - 1hr EE episodes on non football days was the way to go and its pretty much what ITV have done.

I know I sound like a broken record but Channel 5? It sort of annoys me how it seems nothing is being reported besides the World Cup (as I usually go from Twitter sources, but they all obsessed with the footie!)
