That 0.1m is very important to BB viewers.

Yes that's precisely what I was trying to say at the end there. The fairly substantial casual interest in Brazil (and to a lesser extent, but increasingly) Spain will almost certainly disguise and eliminate any slight drop-off caused by people who have decided after yesterday's matches to have a couple of days off.

Although in some cases you can have a jolly good guess. Was obvious to all and sundry that Iran-Nigeria wouldn't be particularly goal-laden, for example, because they both treasure their place at the tournament too much to risk losing.

Article from DS which is about a story from the Daily Star with a show called Celebrity Survivor supposedly set for ITV in 2015, strange that we haven't heard anything about this before?

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/tv/news/...ylls-show.html

Sounds more like the cast list for IAC tbh... Except for Ennis who may be busy with her baby.

Bloody hell! Benefits porn is really popular at the moment.

DMN do you have a final rating for the David Beckham documentary?

To be fair, it could make the difference between survival and cancellation.

Do we really need more celebrity/reality crap? When will it ever be enough ITV?

Looks to me similar to IAC, however in the form of Bear's Wild Weekend/The Island type thing. Probably set for Saturday in January to replace Splash.

Reality shows are on overload, although based on the success of IAC this could do well.

Very strong start. I didn't really expect that, to be honest. That's even better than what On Benefits & Proud managed.

If it was an itv show, and potentially the difference between being down year-on-year and flat, I'm pretty sure you'd want to know as well.

It's a fair question for Salv to ask. No need for the snide remarks.

Fact

BB was actually up year-on-year for last night's episode, the equivalent of which in 2013 recorded an overnight average of 1.22M (6.9%).

Fiction

THE SHOW'S IN CRISIS! IT'S GOING TO BE CANCELLED ANY DAY NOW. DUH DUH DUH !!!!

Unfortunately certain shows discussed on this thread are all treated as being in crisis for what appears to be a poor rating - and yet they are not. It's getting tedious and making this thread at times a no go area.

Better figures for the soaps last night. ITV's final exchange Emmerdale move to 7.10pm last Friday derailed all three of them that night.

EastEnders and Big Brother are in permanent ratings crisis on this thread!

Not really sure what your point is, as I've never implied that. My point is simply, ITV haven't lost any viewers to the BBC, a point I've made quite a few times that often goes unnoticed or ends up being shot down amid talks of how yet another revamp has seen yet another flood of viewers leaving ITV Breakfast for BBC Breakfast. That just isn't true. For what its worth, losing the viewers from TV completely is probably worse because there are less opportunities to regain them and there is a smaller combined audience, most of which have been watching the BBC for years.

Probably, yes. I might ask it for the next 90 days.

This is why we need Mike on here, he was great at posting ratings with +1 and didn't kick up a fuss when people asked for them. 0.1m may not seem a lot in Eastenders or BGT world, but BB is constantly under threat and judging that it has already been cancelled by one channel, a tiny uplift does make a difference.

But with those who have limited access they may be more inclined to use that to access the world cup ratings rather than a run of the mill BB rating at the minute. Mike seemed to have unlimited access which is why he could put up anything, it is frustrating that DS don't seem to want to put them up much now.

If nobody can/wants to help, fair enough. It doesn't automatically render it a question not worth asking. And you can skip the post.

Anything that breaks up the constant BBC v itv tedium should be encouraged IMO. But certainly nobody should be made to feel like they've done something wrong for asking for a rating in a Ratings Thread.

Absolutely, if you don't ask you don't get as they say!

Anybody should ask any question they like and if I had access I would post them for you. I do think the point about being less than 0.1m does mean it is a little meaningless though.

All valid points, however, Philip Wilson has hit the nail on the head.

The problem nowadays is that very people on this thread have access nowadays, and for those that do (including myself and ronant) have limited access per month. In a sport heavy month, where as one or two people know I use it mostly for F1 purposes, Big Brother is not on the radar. There's little incentive to get a rating if it is minuscule.

When the question gets asked every day it feels a bit... tedious. If people are not able to provide it for yesterday and today, chances are they won't be able to for tomorrow, either.

I should add that this isn't an issue for consolidated numbers, just for overnights.

Oh the irony. Most Sky F1 ratings are miniscule !!!

Speaking of consolidated. Is the rating for David Beckham Into The Unknown out yet?

Great start to Royal Ascot. Kingman confirmed he's a beast of a horse and could well be the latest equine superstar to drive interest in Flat racing.

I do wonder though if the viewing figures will continue the long-running trend with C4 Racing and be down y-o-y. Obviously there was the partial clash with the Begium game which couldn't be avoided. But on top of that the pointless overly long segments with Gok Wan were a real turnoff.

Still, C4 Racing can only improve on Deal or No Deal which should now be put out of its misery.

The football clashes may hurt Royal Ascot but I assume the crossover audience for the die hard racing fans will be minimal.
