It must have been the 30 minutes non clash that helped EE stay above 5 million. Its interesting though because it could also suggest Corrie and EE don't have as many cross over viewers as Edale and EE have. Which is surprising really.

I wonder whether the Andy Murray programme would've done better than New Tricks at 9pm? Especially with the Wimbledon effect and EE lead out.

If anyone has access to the ratings, would you be able to post the half hour splits for Coronation Street and Eastenders please?

EE did well last night. Also, another strong rating for Benefits Britain.

When is Great British Bake Off back, and what day will Holby City move to?

Channel 5 had a good night, over 1m from 8pm. Benefits Britain was a standout.

I find them rubbish and boring as they are over done now.

Decent for EastEnders, glad it didn't collapse as it was one of the best episodes in around a month. Interested in how it does tonight, probably the best slot it's had all month, it's usual time with only ITV news as competition.

It's more likely the Bake Off will move, not Holby City, probably to Wednesday.

A very good night for Channel 5 between 8pm and 11pm. Shame Big Brother is not slightly higher, I'm guessing it will be staying around the 1.2 million mark for this series.

Good to see the kids strand in such rude health. Plenty for Viacom to work with here as fellow supporters of high quality children's television.

I'll be disappointed if EE isn't between the 6.5-7m bracket or higher tonight. It has no competition and is in its regular slot. The only thing going against it is a lack of momentum for the past few weeks, but it should still get a decent figure with no real alternative viewing.

Oh my days does anyone with a modicum of sense give a damn about a TV show proving 'the haters' wrong with its rating? At times it actually wills me for these shows to do crap just to silence such immature orgasms.. even shows I actually like!

On point, EE and CS both fared decently. The latter barely showing signs of a clash on a beautiful day in June.

Would make sense. Bake off and The Apprentice on the same night?

It's the new 'point and stare' television. They have overtaken gypsies.... but gypsy benefit claimants will be the subject of more series most probably.

I don't think they will air together from the start but they will overlap. I think the best thing for them to do is use GBBO to boost another show first and then use the last few episodes to boost The Apprentice, so say if GBBO starts 20th August, Apprentice could start 8th October (similar to its last Autumn series) and get the GBBO lead in for three weeks.

I wonder where Who Do You Think You Are? will go, I hope they don't waste the GBBO lead in on it, a drama or even a comedy should get it. I think Sunday 8pm could work if they want to give Antiques Roadshow a break.

Yay people are discussing The Apprentice! I want it!

Although talk of it being in October make me sad. Early September would be good.

EE only gets 5 million viewers nowadays and it's seen as a success? Bad times indeed.

Nobody bothered about Wimbledon either whilst the World Cup in on.

To be fair thats 5.28m in a head on clash with Corrie. Lets see what they all settle back at when in their normal schedules before we declare 'crisis' again.

5m is okay for EastEnders, it shouldn't be seen as great or impressive. Calling that rating impressive is just settling for an average figure. And I say this as an EastEnders fan.
