And then two weeks of Wimbledon where Pointless won't be on at all.

One of those odd nights when all the five terrestrial channels had factual offerings.
BBC2 should be most pleased with that 2.8m figure for British Airways. They had been trailing it heavily though, so they must have had high hopes. ITV's 'Cats' doc was surprisingly low, considering how well the Horizon performed, and given the huge Corrie lead-in. In fact, take out the +1 figure, and it was neck and neck with Crimewatch on 3.6m. Illegal Immigrant and Proud performed creditably for C5, with 1m, and The Island was steady enough on 2.2m (1.9m with +1) Can't help thinking that C4 were hoping for bigger things with that series, though. Incidentally, C4's "Secrets of the Juink Food Business" could only muster 800,000 at 8pm -deservedly so, as if we've seen this sort of show at least a million times now. And on Channel 4, too. It was battered by Springwatch with 2.5m |

I think Happy Valley could get a high rating tonight as well. |

Sky Atlantic was within a hair's breadth of beating Channel 5 at 9pm last night according to the DS article. Game of Thrones has been massive for them this year, helped hugely I would imagine by the recent move to only have one ad break during each episode.

What was the Channel 5 +1 figures for Illegal Immigrant and Proud because viewers may decide to watch it after Crimewatch or British Airways or Games Of Throne?

Expecting a much better evening for Five tonight but admittedly a poor start to a big week for them yesterday. |

I think there's a possibility that Happy Valley will hit 6m tonight - I'm so sad it's ending tonight
I hope Sally Wainwright writes a second series. I think we've been treated to some great drama so far this year - both Happy Valley and Line of Duty have been gripping. Looking ahead, I think Big Brother will launch in the mid 2s on Thursday. I think that will be a decent enough start, as long as it doesn't fall below 1.5m I think Channel 5 will be happy. |

Less than 100,000 otherwise DS would have reported it.

I always record Game Of Thrones and the one ad break had made no impression on me at all - had not really noticed.

I can't really get a handle on the appetite level for this one. It's in the hands of the BARB homes come Thursday night. Be nice if it beats last year but I don't have a remotely firm view either way on whether it will or not!! |

Nice boost for Corrie after is returned to its original slot following BGT week. I wonder how the earlier Wednesday episode and extra Thursday episode will do this week? My guess is around 6m on Wednesday and 7m on Thursday. Tricky scheduling could pull the momentum right out of a week of decent ratings (by recent standard).

There were a few nice magazine pieces with Emma at the weekend. Queen of primetime they're calling her now. One even went as far as national treasure.

A national treasure. Yes, they called Cheryl Cole that a while back as well! To be honest, the only ones who deserve a title like that are Ant and Dec
