aberdaberdonian is looking for the official rating for episode 2/3, on 29 May, up against Corrie and BGT , which overnighted at just 2.42m (10.7% share) as per Broadcast magazine. D.M.N. can usually get consolidated ratings so hopefully he will be able to get this one.

BB would be damaged by going to ITV Be and since ITV 2 is moving away from reality towards comedy and films, it wouldn't be a wise investment. Also it would lead to accusations that ITV was still trashy and too low brow.

It would take something for ITVBe to become even more trashy and lowbrow, judging by the reports of what will be on it. It sounds like what might await you in Hell, Glenn, played on a loop. (Not that I am suggesting that this is your destination.)

The race was a tremendous advert for F1, gripping all the way through with just about everything happening. Just a shame Hamilton had to go off. Ratings would have probably been higher if it was him fending off the chasers rather than Rosberg.

Countryfile looks a bit of a shock simply because we are so used to it doing well. As Steve Williams says, they should have dropped it for a week if it was a compilation anyway.

Yes, when it airs at 7pm. Airing a clip show at 5pm against the French Open Final might be the reason for the low ratings

I think that the public are slowly starting to realise that actually, there's nothing decent to watch anymore. F1 on BBC1 or Charity Football on ITV - the country's 2 flagship channels. With sport dominating for the next 6 weeks you'd have thought that there would have been something to watch last night. If you didn't like sport, or BB, what else was there?

They could check the other channels like BBC4 and BBC2.

Stupid scheduling - the BBC could hardly move the Formula One but there was no reason for Soccer Aid to air that Sunday; it could have easily aired last week or even the week before.

SamuelW keeps banging on about the weekly reach but I swear a lot of that is down to ITV's frankly dire scheduling. I think the Prince of Darkness has become the Prince of Daftness.

I wouldn't go that far...well, not unless ITV are also looking into nabbing the rights to broadcast "Deal Or No Deal".

Sundays evening show is always repeated the next Sunday.

Bringing back Love Island, WAGS Boutique and Katie and Peter( well whoever she's with now) would be a start fo ITV Be. Mind you if it makes ITV 2 better, and there are signs the station is improving, I'm all for it.
I do wonder with ITV Be if they'll make a move for shows like Geordie Shore or America's Next Top Model.

It's been that way for the last four Sundays on BBC One. Before that, the narrative repeat was on a Sunday morning on BBC Two. They must be experimenting with different slots.

Considering it was a ticketed event taking place in a major venue, with umpteen A list stars involved, I'm sure it was scheduled many months in advance, rather than just a recorded drama that can be moved at will.

Surely even the nitwits at ITV could spot the pattern? Yes, fair point, maybe some of the stars might not have been able to make 31st May but I'm sure others could have taken their place; there are enough zelebs and retired footballers around who want to do their bit for expos... er, charity.

Nothing on really worth watching. (Apart from Big Brother, though that's an acquired taste these days).

I thought BB would recover to the mid 1 mark again. Dirty Dancing did very well, it's a very popular film.

Would Big Brother ever work on the main ITV channel? It rates low, but surely it would attract one of their biggest 16-34 audiences, rivalling Coronation Street in that demo.

I always thought ITV should do a stripped reality show in the summer, they should try Survivor again. Mark Austin hosted it in the early 00s if I recall correctly ( Steve Williams, could you help me out here please? ) Survivor aired in a weekly Wednesday night slot but I don't think it did that well. It only lasted two series.

But I really think it could work if ITV tried again. They could make it more of an event programme stripped across each night for four weeks. The Island did very well on Channel 4 recently so there is some kind of audience there for a reality programme like this featuring ordinary people.

Susanna Reid and Christine Bleakley could host it, trapped on a remote island wearing just skimpy beach wear... That would pull in the male demographic.

Unless I'm having "a moment", the previous Sunday's Countryfile has had a narrative repeat on the following Sunday on BBC one for ages, maybe a couple of years or so. I cannot recall it being on BBC Two.
