Peter - and its not even occured to anyone least of all steve, michelle or Liz, that at the time of incident, carla walked out of the pub saying she was going to kill tina, peter was still in the back, then steve went in to talk to him at which point carla was at the flat door. The plod are stupid, they need to determine the time that tina was injured then realise peter could not have done it as he was still in the rovers with witnesses, but no the bracelet rob dropped in the barlow back yard when he took the iron bar out of the shed will be used by rob to set peter up.

I do agree what people are saying about her having an affair before and starting all this - I hope they properly address the fact that the relationship started with an affair so was bound to end in one, and I'd definitely like to see a scene with Leanne and Carla about it - I think people like it when they get on but personally I love them as enemies, that scene in the live episode was amazing - and I definitely think a lot can be made of the fact that this is karma for Carla for sleeping with a married man in the first place - although Leanne doesn't seem to be too fussed about it atm.

Both Peter and Carla have flawed characters and have strayed in the past. The difference for me is that Carla has switched into hate mode. Peter is far more empathetic than Carla. When told that Tina had died, Carla's only thought was that now she couldn't prove her innocence.

The scene in The Rovers where she accuses Peter of murder in front of everyone and gives him a bottle "to drink himself to death" was particularly callous.

I do feel sorry for Carla in that she is pregnant and been cheated on but she's got a short memory. She had an affair with her brother-in-law Liam while Maria was pregnant, which ended up with Liam being murdered by Tony.

This is all IMO of course. Other viewpoints are also available. Lol

Fantastic post. God forbid the bloke actually keeps his brain in his skull and stays faithful to one woman, it's all the woman's fault for seducing the poor weakwilled fellas of course.

Oh and I'm team Carla, naturally. Most of the criticisms of her character are what I love about her so I don't give a damn!

Why yes, how silly of that poster, it is of course highly conceivable and natural to consider the risk of your fiancé taking a hit out on your lover. Stupid selfish Carla, it's all her fault Liam's dead. Poor Tony only did what any sane human who has ever been betrayed would do.

Team Carla, though as mentioned, I don't really think it is team Carla versus Peter.

Unless you believe in an eye for an eye, I think you'e got to have sympathy for Carla. She's pregnant, for a start, and gave Peter her all. He's then gone and cheated on her, in one way it's worse that he never actually loved Tina because at least if he had (like he'd loved Carla when he was seeing Leanne) his cheating would have, up to a point (not in Carla's mind) been justified but it was simply for an ego boost and a bit of extra sex, and appreciation from another women.

Tony killed Liam just like Liam cheated on his pregnant girlfriend / wife and Peter cheated on Leanne and now Carla. When will male characters finally be allowed to take responsibility for their own actions in soaps and not ALWAYS have a woman to blame somehow
