Wouldn't Tina be scared to 'step out of line', as she knows that Tosh might hit her. Tina doesn't seem to be scared of her, none of her family care that she has gone back to her violent gf.

I remember Shirley having words with Tina about Tosh's previous violent behaviour but Tina defended Tosh. I think there is already signs of emotional abuse that may progress further as time goes on. Dean seems to have caught on to Tosh's bullying behaviour.

Tosh is definitely one of those people who like everything to be 100% perfect 100%
of the time, the way she looked at Tina falling over in the Albert showed that for me. Let's hope there are no hoover pipes in the flat

Luisa Bradshaw-White has confirmed that the domestic abuse will develop further on screen. Emotional abuse predominantly, with physical violence likely seen as it has happened.

Interesting - Dean realises Tosh is a bully, while Mick is under her spell. Yet another difference between The Crown Prince and The Lesser One. One which links Dean to Shirley - they both notice the emotional abuse. With Dean that's a very subtle demonstration of his immediate recognition and knowledge of abuse. I wonder if Mick's implied abuse in care was so manipulative that Mick doesn't recognise the signs because it was so normal to him. Interesting.

The whole family cared. But eventually Tosh managed to win over everyone but Shirley that she had changed and would be a great girlfriend fot Tina. Even Mick tried to persuade Shirley to let Tina be with Tosh.

Interesting. ![]() I personally don't want Mick to have suffered abuse in care, I'm hoping it's that he struggled to cope with being in care and also the fact that Stan was neglectful towards him. (as well as Shirley.) They always seem to portray abuse in care so I hope they don't go down that road again with Mick and instead explore the affect that being in care would have on a child in general, rather than it always going back to abuse. Considering the history of Stan being neglectful and a drunk, Sylvie being abusive towards Shirley and now Tina/Tosh, I think it would be too much. |
