Thanks Walter I will be sure to check them out. YouTube indeed the internet is such a blessing for fans of anything from Hollywood's golden era or in some cases gaining new fans for the era amongst younger film lovers.
Would you say The bad and the beautiful was a camp film? It certainly sounds camp and also sizzles with sexual chemistry just in that picture of Kirk Douglas and Lana Turner!
Was there an enduring friendship between Kirk and Barbara Stanwyck given his first major role was with her?
PS Do you know who the actress is in the linked hot picture of Kirk Douglas please?

There are some scenes in The Bad and The Beautiful that would certainly be thought of as camp. I am thinking of the scene where Lana runs out of Kirk's mansion, jumps into her car, and crying hysterically while driving. You can watch the whole scene on YouTube.
In his autobiography, Kirk commented how on the great relationship that she had with the Crew on set of his first film, but he was put out that she didn't pay him any attention. Kirk has always been known for his ego, and probably thought that Barbara would be impressed with his talent, and he certainly made an impressive debut.
I guess that he forgave her, because 40 years later he presented her with the Golden Globe when she won the Cecil B de Mille Lifetime Achievement Award in 1986.
He made a lovely speech, adding how scared he was when he had to kiss her, "Because Barbara Stanwyck was a Star, she was a Star then, she's a Star now, and she'll be a Star for decades to come".
Well he was wrong there, because she died four years later, but it was nice sentiment.
