Like all of the great stars, Lana knew how to make an entrance, she also had a wonderful walk, and perfect carriage. That was one of the benefits of the studio system, they really trained the young stars how to present themselves to their best advantage, something sadly lacking today.

I am fortunate enough to have that documentary, and it is totally fascinating.

That will be the 1930's, or early '40's, she certainly wouldn't have posed for that sort of photo after she became a big star.

I am afraid you are even more unsure of the Star Hilda, it is a very young Jean Simmons.

Angela did look gorgeous in that film, it was The Harvey Girls, she was 21 years old, and her saloon girl character was very mean to Judy Garland.
