Looking at the Racing HoF, no-one ever seems to run a Derby meeting comp for Friday-Saturday.

Not wanting to step on anyone's toes, I'll run one if no-one else shouts. I know the Oaks and Derby will be covered by Darren for the Saturday comp, but the rules for that are different so it shouldn't matter.

If I do, I have considered reverting to the original NR rules whereby players can replace NR with alternatives right up to the off. Players can still nominate their own reserves when they put their daily entry in if they wish.

I don't think there's anything complicated in this that I've forgotten, but just to confirm... I believe changes can ONLY be made in the event of a NR.

I'm quite happy running these second-string events and discontinued comps like the Craven and Newmarket July Meeting if no-one else does.

I'm around most of Friday and Saturday too if you need a hand with anything.

Funny i was going to do the double change rule at Ascot if i was going to do it.(reserves or up to post time each race)
I wont be around though on Thursday afternoon for definite(other days at the moment im ok)
But if anyone else wants to do it or Co run it with someone.Then go for it.

Rules

THIS COMPETITION PERMITS REPLACEMENT OF NON RUNNERS UP TO THE START OF ANY RACE

Pick one horse in every race.
You may nominate any number of reserves to your preferred choice.
If you pick a NR you can change it up to the start of the race.
Any NR/Withdrawn without a nominated replacement will go on the unnamed favourite (lowest race card number for joint/co favourites).

Points
10pts winner
5pts second
2pts third (minimum 8 runners)
1pt fourth (handicaps with 16+ runners)

Double points ** are awarded to the biggest race each day
