I'm all up for improvements. I just don't see the point in being forced to update to a system when my current OS already aweves me well and I'm happy with it especially when such upgrades take things away which I've become happy with. The file system on newer operating systems ate far more faffy than mu current one and they've taken away certain features which I would have been happy to keep.
Please explain how you are forced to update?

Gives myself a big slap in the face for such terrible typos.

Old handset dies, get new handset with an updated OS that I don't like. OR your operating system is no longer supported please update.

.The s4 and and the 5c are not even in the same country let alone ball park ...
Similar contract prices, though the S4 can be had for a relative bargain £300.

The prevailing mood is to now call smartphones a 'commodity', so even though the HD S4 as is as near as top end as you can get, profit margins can only fall further.
I still consider Android as being a 'PC' so walled gardened Windows Phone is the real competitor to iPhone. Again it is available at 'commodity' prices.

And I agree with others about having no need to 'upgrade' to the latest OS.
I know full well that upgrades are as much there to monopolise more adverts, that certainly being the case with IOS.

BTW there is lots of negativity towards Google, mainly from the media. Android happens to be in that firing line.
