Surely they are using most of the old sets and furniture, from the last Fame Academy building? All they would have needed to spend money on would be paint!

I think that some of us want FA3 very badly, and so are clutching at straws.

I do feel more optimistic about it now, having seen how well it works for CRFA.

I havent seen much of any outside space (remembering the "darts") last year - I've seen a bench where they obviously go to smoke, but do we have any sense of other outside space?

BTW I love that spiral walk up to the BBC3 studio - wierd!

As I have said Fame Academy won't come back because it wasn't very good! It wasn't a patch on Pop Idol/X Factor and Richard Park, as hard as he tries is no Simon Cowell!

...but Craig Foxtrot Tango, as Jon called him last night, is on his way.

It works so much better now Carrie and David aren't judging!

Like it when David and Richard disagree!

The first Pop Idol was probably the best of the lot, in terms of drama and production. The first Fame Academy was more enjoyable for me, but the production and whole concept of putting 3 people up for the chop needed a rethink.

No way though was the second series of Pop Idol as good as any of the Fame Academy shows. If someone asked me to name the worst sequel of all time, I'd say Pop Idol 2.

I love FA and really miss it. The BBC wont bring it back after the Government moaning and groaning this week about them dumming down. Shame really as they have a real winner if handled correctly. They never did really appreociate what they had.

I would love it to come back as well, but don't hold out much hope with all the anti Fa stuff, and all the hysteria about the last one.

Most of the stuff is just a set, it is normal to spend thousands and hundred of thousand pounds for a programme, this is like a 10 week run all in one hit really, so nothing out of the ordinary.

They filmed for London's Burning at my house, well really only the outside, they were here for 3 days, with about 50 people, catering, trailers the lot, must have cost a fortune, it lasted less than a minute on the actual programme.

But never say never I suppose.,

Well how wrong you were.

The lovely Ms. Jowell won her seat in the May 2005 General Election with a majority of nearly 9000. She has continued her job as Secretary for Culture, Media and Sport. A job which she has held since 2001.

Also, she helped London win the Olympic bid, so stop moaning and be grateful.

I knew she'd win her seat, I was talking of her Ministry. She's on borrowed time (like most of the cabinet) Gordon will want her out.

They've only got themself's to blame at Endemol and the BBC for turning the last FA into sutch a shamballs.

I woold be surprized if there was anther one. The voting figers for FA are nowhere near as high as PI/X-F and they need to be to pay for the live streeming.

The local council didn't reknew the BBC's permittion to film at Witonhurst in North London. This is why the school in South London was used for Celeb FA but that building is still used normaly so it can't be used by the BBC for 3 months.

FA3 hit the skids today. Bayham Hall was one of the location the BBC had looked into if there was ever going to be a FA3 but due to the x- factor winding up locals its a no go.
the bbc Still hope to use a school in South London for the Celeb FA later this year. but it now looks like no fa3 till the end 2006 if ever

the bbc are still trying to do one for this year, it has raised so much money in the past they would hate not to have one.

The first academy was in Highgate Village and was up for sale for ages which is how the beeb managed to get it for the first few fame academys plus a few other shows.
the move to the South Bank is also very temporary and I doubt another series would come from there
maybe this time a very modern house or factory could be used instead?
just an idea

a factory would be quite a good idea - lots of space and cheap and it will look very modern and urbanish
