I'm so angry, my favourite soap (code for I watch 3 times per month) has been moved due to sport. This has caused me to be so stressed that I couldn't even realise that there are more important things in life.

Why can't all sport be on a sport channel? TV channels such as BBC 1 and ITV1 are made for my sole pleasure, screw everyone else's tastes, I don't like sport so it shouldn't be on.

I'm fuming, so angry in fact that I don't even have time to record the soap on series link. Or even, look for something else to watch while this hideous sport is on.

A few things for you:

1. Certain sport events (like England football matches) have to be shown on either BBC1, BBC2, ITV, Channel 4 or Five. As ITV have the contract, they will show the matches.
2. The soaps (e.g. Coronation Street and Emmerdale) will not be moved to ITV2 as most fans will watch both.
3. I have a life. Do you? I don’t care if the programmes I watch are moved for football or other programmes. The Rugby World Cup is next year on ITV. Corrie and Emmerdale will be moved - I don’t care.

It is astonishing that you didn't get that the OP was being sarcastic.

How could anyone miss it? Someone above even actually had to ask if it was sarcasm. Just from reading it, it's very obvious.

Taking the Michael out of soap fans who don't like football just a bit? Personally I hate football and it p**ses me off when it takes priority over my soaps. I do think there should be a dedicated sports only channel.

By the same token, there should be a dedicated soap only channel, and that's how quickly your argument can be picked apart.

There should be a dedicated soap channel then.

If this post was made with a bit of sarcasm, I think soap fans have had this coming for ages.

England Internationals, World Cup and Euros, Grand Prix, Wimbledon, all have to be on the main channels, Why would IT.V pay mega money, and shove it on a channel nobody can get.

People who don't like Football or Soaps, could moan about the programmes being removed cause of those extended Soaps.

Soaps, will be shown, you won't miss an epsiode.

If you don't like the Football, there will be extended episodes of a soap on the channel not showing Football.

And if tbat doesn't appeal, watch another channel, get more interests, out of the doom and gloom you feel you must watch every night.

Ooh and there's iPlayer, ITV Player, 4od, Demand 5.

That wouldn't work as there isn't enough soaps to fill a channel and they're all on different channels. There are lots of sports that could fill a sports channel though.

How would ITV or BBC manage a dedicated Sports Channel when they have hardly any sport on the main channels as it is.

But no one channel would be able to fill a sports channel either, also I pay my TV licence and I want to be able to see football and tennis on the main channels as well.

I know just over a month for the World Cup and 2 weeks for the tennis on BBC. ITV have lost the champions league from 2015 as well so I don't know why anyone is moaning about it.

Hang on, this is a sarcastic joke thread....right?

They have moved EastEnders to 7pm and to be honest I'm going to have to work my whole life around this now. Its just really distressing, what if I'm not home on time?

Haaa, now that was sarcasm.

I like Football and Soaps.

How about every 2 years, Soaps took a month off, all soaps, you finish on a massive cliffhanger, Storywriterscould build up to like a Soap Final week.

Home and Away and Neighbours, both have a break in Aus, both soaps have cliffhangers, why can't ours do simular
