Tandoori salmon could be nice. Marinade it in the sauce for a few hours then grill or bake it on a high heat till the outside's slightly charred and the inside still rare. Serve it with some raita, flatbread and salad.
I tried this recently and it worked really well. I'm not usually a big fan of salmon (prefer tuna) but I got some on reduction in the supermarket and thought I'd try something different with it.
Just make the curry base as usual and then drop the salmon steaks/fillets in with a few minutes to go to cook through.
Was a little put off when I saw Thai Green Curry had anchovies or fish sauce in but I couldn't really taste them, chicken and fish together sounds odd but it tastes nice.
Does proper salmon and the tinned variety (which I enjoy) taste the same, when you cook one of those fillets what does it go like.
Salmon steaks in various different marinades is one of my favourites at the moment. (Morrisons fish counters - raw. Also pre-packed - and cooked - in both Morrisons and Asda).
