Slightly random, but does this make anyone else laugh? I think on Mondays episode he called her Gail, and has done in the past aswell. The poor woman doesn't half get some stick, hahaha.

Tried to force himself on Tina? I don't remember that, but it is quite hilarious how it says it like it's normal.. 'that's Gail, always ruining things' .. he said something along those lines on Monday and I sat there giggling haha.

Doesn't make me laugh. It makes me angry.

David is a lovely, misunderstood young man. He's the product of having a serial killer for a step father and Gail for a mother.

Oh, and having to spend his teenage years around the godawful Bethany.

Do you know, I feel exactly the same. I think David has such a lovely side to him. He is so compassionate and caring - the accident with Nick wasn't his fault and his upbringing was terrible.

The way he treats Gail is abhorrent.

I noticed he called her Gail instead of mum too. I didn't know he tried to force himself on Tina. I wouldn't have forgiven him

Next week he starts just referring to her as 'the lodger'. I hope he flips out on her when she tries to move Des Lennis in.

I don't know what Gail's done to her face, but maybe David thinks his blow-up doll has arrived.

It's quite common now for kids to call their parents by their christian names...though I don't agree with it myself...

I think David calls her Gail as a show of disrespect.......it helps to remind me of his darker side.

I remember him throwing nuts at her, one of the funniest Corrie scenes I have watched.

David Platt is the devil's spawn. Poor Gail her precious angel Nick is an emotionally unstable loon who doesn't realize he looks older than his actual age, her daughter has banished herself to Italy and then she has to give birth to the Omen. I swear Corrie could be an episode of Rosemary's Baby at times.

If they were going to do that scene at all, it totally should have been olives, not nuts.

But either way, tbh I did sort of grin, but in an uncomfortable way if that makes sense. It was too close to abuse to be all that funny for me.

Gail should have battered him to death with a baguette.

Or she could have used the baguette to serve the peanuts back at him and turn it into a game. That would have put the wind up his sails.

Love it!

But yes, at very least she should have somehow been shown to put the little scrote down, either verbally or with a thick ear. I didn't like seeing her bullied like that.
