Wow, thats some one year contract she signed!

In 6 months she has worked 1 and a half months in 2014

I think the panto was also known about before she signed the same with Mount Pleasant. Someone said that Sam had signed up for panto in december 2013 but they must have meant for Dec 2014.

As the BBC want value for money, my guess would be her one year contract actually runs for somrthing like 18 months to accommodate the time she is not working for the BBC. That would mean her contract ends in May 2015 or close too.

You are full of surprises Kayla....

I wouldn't take any notice of the one year contract reports. All actors thesedays are only given deals between 6 and 12 months. It doesn't mean they won't be around longer than that. They stopped the locked 3 year deals in 2010. Sam recently said she had no plans to leave EE either. She also can't be on a locked contract with the BBC as she is currently also filming with Sky. The BBC rarely allow people on its contracts to work for other organisations because of charter rules. I wouldn't be surprised if Sam's actual new EE contract doesn't start until after she returns full time. That seems more plausible as like you say she has only done just over one months work over the course of six months. So at the moment her contract must be on an episode by episode bases.

Also when she returned for the initial six months. It wasn't just for six months. She always said she had the intention of staying if things worked out. Sam said that was a tester to see how she felt in regards to being back. Remember the only reason she quit EE in the first place is because she was receiving threats over the baby swap. So you can understand her hesitation at returning again.

Always the way, when she was a boring, sobbing mess she was in it constantly.

That's true! Ditto Sharon. She was a vengeful fireball of fury when she left in 2006. Now she's written as a Kirsty Allsop wannabe.

I can't stand Kirstie Allsopp, she's a typical smug supporter of the Nasty Party.

Same here. Just don't understand the love.

She has completely fizzled out after that stupid storyline with her murdering Carl. Pointless character.

Yeah must be but I feel these breaks are bringing her momentum down. At least now she should have a good 6 month run before going off screen again.

She'll probably fit it in like she has done for Mount Pleasant, like Jessie Wallace has.

She has signed a new 18 Month Contract in April keeping her on the square until December 2015.

She's not going anywhere for a while!

Also, this Panto is only on for a month!

She'll hardly be out of it long!

Is that really true though? I haven't seen any credible evidence. If you were talking about wikipedia, that doesn't mean its true because anyone can edit things in wikipedia ha.

Good Lord, she hardly appears as it is.

Hopefully it will be a fairly smooth transition like the ones that Shane Richie and Adam Woodyatt have.

Just cause u hate her character doesn't mean everyone else does.

I hope she stays and we see more of her onscreen. I only watch it for Ronnie and she hasn't even been in it for weeks!

Mitchell's don't tend to get big Christmas stories in recent years, do they? Because of Steve McFadden's panto breaks? I guess Christmas is when Mick finds out the truth about Shirley.

Steve McFadden goes on panto breaks in late November/early December. Usually EE films Christmas episodes in late October/early November. I think Phil will be involved in the Xmas episodes as he will probably be a "support" to Shirley if Mick finds out about Shirley.
