If she doesn't want to be homophobic than maybe she shouldn't say that she thinks gay people should be discriminated against by denying them the right to marry the person they love. If people don't like having the label homophobic then don't have homophobic views. I'd have more respect for her if she was to just bite the bullet and say 'yeah I am homophobic.' And besides we wouldn't be saying that people should have the right to their opinions if she was saying that about interracial marriage.
