I would not go to any marriage of a same sex couple if it was in a church. I would find it disrespectful.

You need to ask yourself why doesn't she BELIEVE in it? If she was questioned a little further I think you'd find it is because she's AGAINST it! Question even further and I am positive you will find her reasons to be offensive and homophobic.

Does everyone's anti gay feeling stem from their religious beliefs or do they feel that had they been born in a world without, or before the Hebrew/Christian religion existed they would simply, as individuals feel a strong or deep personal conviction against gay people .... well being gay, falling in love, getting married and being happy?

Because I feel it would be desecrating IMO my sacred place of worship. Going against my faith. So I would most likely leave the church if the priest accepted it. Which is doubtful. It would also offend a lot of my family.

But do you, as a person, feel (using your word) offended, or is it purely because your religion is against men lying together?
For example, if it had never been mentioned in the bible would you still feel this way?
