Blatant favouritism already

It was obvious whoever went in last was going to be the power housemate. They are freshest in the voters' mind so they are more likely to be chosen over someone who was in 3rd. The plan always was for Pauline to be the power housemate.

The same went with Pauline's choice. Why weren't the videos shown in the same order as the housemates entered? They wanted to give Mark the money. He was the last one shown and, as a result, he was the most recent memory. So predictable.

This is also the case with X Factor and those types of shows where the last to perform usually tops the vote. They knew this would be the case again tonight.

It's only the first night and the favouritism is already evident.

I turned off as soon as she was chosen because it was so orchestrated it was shameful...

Rylan is already doing his 'JAZZIE P!!!!!' thing on BBBOTS talking about Pauline. It reminds me of the whole 'Jackie Traveeeers' thing again from last year. The only other housemate they've talked about so far is Mark.

Favourites this year are obviously going to be Pauline and Mark.

My thoughts exactly why can't BB just let things happen naturally

Everyone I have spoken to said the same, my mum's never wrong but I can't wake her to ask her anything else tonight.

To be honest the first week means nothing when it comes to favorites. Wolfie being a prime example

I think Wolfie's problem was that she thought the public adored her after hearing chants for her during the eviction so she started acting smug.

I could see Pauline doing the same thing. Maybe not to the same extent as she's experienced fame in the past.

Most of all, I just keep thinking that Carole was favourite on the first night of BB8 because everyone thought she was a bonkers older lady. Look how that turned out...

Someone always has to be last though so who cares?

Same with Katreya from BB9, she was favorite from the start but ended up getting huge boos whilst being evicted in a dressing gown and afro wig.

They can attempt to set things up all they want but they can't absolutely control it.
Pauline's power could easily backfire once it expires, Mark winning money could also backfire.
Think they were trying to set Danielle up for the punishment as she said the most controversial statement but that didn't really work out.

Yeah, I'm very surprised Pauline never chose her for the punishment. But I don't think Pauline (or any housemate) would choose a girl in case the punishment was something like not getting their suitcase.

Well, at least it didn't help Jackie Travers very much. Maybe it won't do much for Pauline and Mark either,

Yeah, I totally think it was orchestrated. I was a bit pissed with the result because Pauline is obviously going to use this platform to show the public how "fair" and "genuine" she is.

I'm just anticipating Pauline's fall from grace, as she certainly isn't what she seems. She has this humorous facade, but I think, potentially, there's a darker side to her.

I don't think you could mess her around and get away with it, she is coming across as all nice but if she were pushed she would soon snap. Only time will tell.....

Totally agree, it was Simon cowell levels of blatant fixing for the result they wanted

Can you ask your mum who is going to win when she wakes up.

They are just favouring what they think the traditional big brother audience will like.

Pauline and mark tick a lot of the traditional big brother voters boxes.

I expect the push for a while, thankfully Luisa won't push the traditional view.

I think she was told like them for the first bots, but you could tell she wast keen as her favoured ones weren't really them

It was obvious that Pauline was going to get the big push, pretty inevitable really. At the same time it's early days, perceptions and opinions of the housemates change on a daily basis.

She could turn out to be the BB villain you just never know
