No ITV Player on my box just yet, I tried to force a software update but it said I already have the latest version (4.9 build 8509).
Same on mine.

Try disconnecting power supply and leave a couple of minutes before reconnecting.
I had to do that with mine last night then it updated without problems

As has been remarked earlier the new interface will take a bit of getting used to - it's quite smart though.

This page: http://www.cnet.com/uk/news/itv-play...ill-no-amazon/ says that ITV Player can now be downloaded from the Channel Store on Now TV boxes. I've tried updating the software and unplugging the box for a couple of minutes - I'm blowed if I can see ITV Player in the Channel Store!

Anyone know what's really going on?

Just discovered that ITV Player is listed on the NOW TV website as being available to download: http://images.now.nowtv.com/Web/BSKY...ist_140610.pdf

Why can't I see it?

Just heard from Now TV CS - apparently 20,000 customers have it on test from yesterday, rolls out to all customers on 17th June.

It's appeared on the Roku Channel Store and has downloaded to my Roku LT.

Your little NOW TV Box just got even bigger. Yes, it’s already full to the seams with awesome. But there’s still space for more – and the ITV Player app is arriving on it soon along with BBC Sport.

Soon!

ITV Player will only install on 5.4x firmware, if your box hasn't updated you need to wait.

Oooh, that's interesting. I must be in the test group for some reason.

I updated and added ITV Player but I've not bothered to actually go into it yet. Given the content on ITV I probably won't ever!

Does anyone know why the jump from 4.9 to 5.4, do the numbers mean anything?

I assume Sky didn't have their custom version of the new interface introduced in 5.0 so have been holding off.

Standard Ruku boxes have be receiving all updates such as 5.0, 5.1 and so on.

I'm really cross that I had an email saying available "now" when none of my two boxes have had the update yet, and still haven't!

OK, I've tried it out for review purposes.

On initial load it asks for your postcode. This can be changed at any time in the menu, so I'm not sure why they are bothering - using the IP address as an indicator would be less susceptible to tinkering.

The interface is similar to the Sky News one. A brief look through suggests the amount of content is poor. Only a couple of days available. I tried to access today's The Sweeney and it played a few adverts... and then the box rebooted itself!

There's no indication of how many adverts or how far through them you are, unlike 4oD.

I must say, unimpressed.

the post code must be to prevent scottish users from using it. cant use itv player on computer, get told to use stv player. will need to find an english postcode to input..when it actually appears on my box that is

I think the poster was saying that using a postcode for this is pointless as anyone can just punch in a English postcode, that's what I always do with ITV Player, I guess I will use SW19 5AE as it's the first one that comes to mind

Not sure if it would. I'm on an FTTC connection. My IP shows my location as London, Reading or Luton. I'm nowhere within 300km of any of the three.
