Hi Shelley, welcome! What a lovely post to join us with.

I've come to the conclusion that the show and BOTS in particular are relying on making the viewers angry in order to rake in more voting revenue. I can't imagine people are spending a lot any more but look at when Team Ashleigh united to get Jale out. Then last week they provoked them again by randomly taking her promised immunity away. So this week they're turning on Chris. Make people angry at his behaviour = more votes to get him out. Make his fans angry at how his name's being blackened = more votes for his opposition to spite the agenda we see being peddled.

Alrightmate, you're bang on. Chris is a sensitive man prone to depression and the show is lining him up for a barrage of abuse when he gets out. I've noticed in previous recent years the aftercare is virtually non existent. At least if we can pull off the feat of keeping him in he'll have at least one more week to turn the audience back on his side. I struggle to remember a housemate whose popularity has gone into such freefall, especially through an over-exaggerated incident such as Chris' chat with Pav.
Apart from the blatant manipulations and interference by BB, that is the other main aspect which has disappointed me this series.
The manner in which the viewers themselves seem to be so easy to manipulate, or whether they are manipulating themselves, to the point where the slightest of things that happen in the house create such disproportionate uproar.

I wouldn't be surprised if a housemate spilled a bit of coffee on somebody else's pants and the forum would create a hate campaign based on something as trivial as that.
It was bad enough yesterday when Ashleigh and Christopher had a little tiff.

It's at the point where I'm feeling quite embarrassed to be known to be a viewer of this show right now.

Yes, and if you look at the little pie chart below the table of odds, they're all quite close, but more bets have been on Pav to go than on Chris or Zoe:

Pav 38.57% of bets <-- most
Chris: 31.40%
Zoe: 30.03% <-- least

Which suggests Pav is more likely to go than Zoe.

What the pie chart means, quoted from http://www.oddschecker.com/stats/bet-activity

I think the difference between the pie chart and the odds may be because of the amounts being bet, but I'm not sure -- or perhaps because of what the odds were when the various bets were placed (which determined how much the bookies would lose against those punters).

Either way, the pie chart could be a better guide to what people are thinking.
It's a tricky one to assess, because the Tellymix poll has Zoe and Pav in an almost head to head, and they say that the Tellymix poll is is usually more in tune with how many results tend to go.
In an ideal world from a Chris perspective both Zoe and Pav should be the bottom two.
Just got to hope that there are enough Chris supporters out there.

Hope you don't mind me stopping by Chris fans, but I just wanted to say how saddened I am to see the forum turn against him like this. I have no idea what 'creepy' or 'pervy' behaviour we're meant to be seeing ( and neither do the other HM's by the look of it which speaks volumes ) and I think a mountain is being made out of a molehill. It never ceases to amaze me how quickly forum members can turn against a HM for the most smallest of crimes. Regarding Pav, I felt sorry for him at first, but with other HM's saying the same things as Chris ( Mark, Helen & Christopher ) I'm wondering whether there is some truth to him being a PITA and playing a good game. If he gets cheers this week 9 which I think he will ) I think he'll draw his own conclusions as to how he's being portrayed and how he acts from there will determine whether he's genuine or not.

Really want Chris to stay, and especially over two newbies. He's been honest, funny, witty and genuine.

Ideally we'll see the back of Zoe! But I am a little concerned for Chris, not gonna lie.

I agree with you Pinkyminxy. Sometimes these waves of opinion which occur outside of the house seem to have little to do with what's actually going on in the house.

It puts me right off the main forum to the point I haven't really been posting much on there as there isn't much in the way of reasonable discussion on there.
In the last couple of days I've probably posted more on the Ashleigh and Chris Appreciation threads.

People seem to forget things that happened even quite recently. For example, does anybody remember Pav's questioning of Kimberly and Steven?
Try and remember that, or even better watch the clip of it if you can locate it, and I think most reasonable people would see that there is just reason for the housemates to be suspicious of Pav.

Chris has himself said that Pav had been asking him questions which seemed to be about getting under his skin. Which we haven't been shown, so can't know for certain whether it happened.
But rewind back to how Pav was questioning Kimberly and Steven and it seems to infer that this may well be how Pav operates.

This is not good and won't turn out well for poor Chris .......

STOP CRYING WOMAN, STOP CRYING *remember it's only a tv show*

This is beyond a joke, how much are they paying this so called focus group to slag off Chris. Why not go the full hog and invite Steven "2 seconds" Goode & his Mummy to the group too and twist the knife in further.

It's obvious what BB are doing, I would love to know where they found this focus group, all are BOTS studio audience most prob.

I am so angry right now

What makes me sad is that seemingly the GBP are being duped

I agree with you I am fuming by the treatment Chris on the MF and seemingly backed
up by BB.

There has been a lot of back-pedalling vis a vis Chris on tonight's BOTS, even Ma Willis was admitting they had gone too far

A poll on the forum for you to vote on...

Out of Chris and Zoe: Who deserves to go this week?

agree with you all , more lovely posts.
Along with the lovely facebook group & twitter fan page restores a bit of my faith in humanity.
If i was in chris's shoes & came out seeing all these nasty comments. As a sufferer of depression along with the effects of that shall i say i think seeing this online abuse it would kill me.
It is awful , not as bad tonight on bots but why are people so happy & think it is funny name calling a person. That is creepy.
This forum is a joke now & nothing is being done. All sense of kindess & common sense has gone out the window.
Hope he stays tomorrow because what awaits him will not be nice - he is an original housemate who deserves to change peoples perceptions by staying anopther week.

BBBOTS have certainly done some back-pedalling judging by last night's show. Also, did anyone notice some of the Focus group members in the audience. At a quick glance I recognised two of them.

People commented on that as soon as the first Focus Group vid was put up yesterday.

As for tonight's eviction if Chris does go the vast majority of his interviews with Ma Willis and on BOT will be about Ashleigh which is unfortunate

I thought it was a good highlights show for Chris last night. I don't watch BOTS regularly so don't know what it's been like on there, but it seemed like they chose things to show Chris in a good light - the other housemates saying he isn't "creepy," showing that Ashleigh has no problem with it, and then Chris defending himself in the diary room etc. I really hope he doesn't go. I think they're gearing up for a Zoe eviction now, as it wasn't a good show for her.

Some of the threads about Chris are vile. I am really worried for him despite the backtracking by BOTS last night. I feel the damage has been done.

Just ignore them. It is the same few people and they are not worth worrying about. Just keep voting for Zoe - Chris will be safe tonight.

Have to agree, I think it's inevitable now...real shame as I like Chris. The fact of the bad edits, damage from BOTS has sealed his fate. Can't believe people want to save Pav....bet these people will not want him as the winner! Heard Steven is on BOTS tonight and fear this is an omen, the fact he has waged a campaign against Chris speaks volumes.

Chris has come over as a nice intelligent guy, the fact that other housemates Toya/Matthew/Danielle have said what a nice guy he is (and the other HMs don't have an issue with him) seems to be overlooked by many on this forum.

I shall be sad if he goes tonight, he has always been a favourite of mine, 2nd only to Ashleigh but I have everything crossed that he will stay tonight.

I wouldn't necessarily read too much into that. The previous week's evictee always appears on the panel each eviction night

I've been voting for Zoe for the past two days using mainly my Nokia, but also some landline calls in between too. I cannot bear that thought of Steven gloating on BBOTS tonight if Chris goes. I'm not on twitter, but if anyone on here is, can you go over there and big him up? Keep voting.

4.21pm: Chris is telling Ashleigh and Mark that he thinks he will go this week. They are not disagreeing with him.

He might be thinking he's going due to all the information that's come in from the outside world this week

Ugh! Steven's going to be so smug and irritating if Chris ends up going which I think will happen, unfortunately!

Sadly, I haven't been able to vote as much this week. I went a bit overbroard when voting for Stephen last week. It's disappointing that Chris is very likely to leave on a bad week.

I really can't see Chris going - the odds say no as do ALL the online polls. Just keep voting Zoe!!
