He seems to be back on twitter, thanking people and retweeting nice messages about him, Ashleigh and Christopher. Seems appropriate to their character that they haven't got involved in the vile twitter madness that a lot of the other housemates have.

I have all the HMs on a list on twitter, have to admit I decided to follow Chris as well, he'd be a good addition to the timeline He's one person I hope gains, career-wise, from his exposure on BB. It was interesting when he said, during his speech at the final dinner in the house (on the full-length one shown on YouTube) that he'd been asked to do BB, rather than applying. Somebody obviously saw something in him, which we all did too

I just wanted to say I am hoping they will get Chris on couch potatoes or have some other extended interview with him. I can't remember the last time a really articulate HM was in the house. I would be genuinely interested to hear of his experiences.

I would also like a DVD of his diary room narratives. I did feel he sneered a bit at times but having heard him talk about how he saw and used the diary room as a sort of sounding board or confessional I would certainly like to hear more

I just think it's something that we'll never be able to change in some people's minds. It's totally ridiculous, especially as they can provide no sort of evidence other than "well it just seems a bit weird". BB was responsible for tagging him as something through clever editing and loud voices, and you can't always get the toothpaste back in the tube. Some people bought it and ran with it and use it to defame his character whenever the opportunity arises.

Yeah, hopefully everyone can keep this thread going. It would be nice if Chris (and Christopher and Ashleigh) have good things happen to them from BB in their own individual careers. They are seem bright, creative and focused people, so I think they can make their own way anyway, but they deserve a bit of attention now they're out of the house.

I think appreciation threads are always a bit 'nicer' than the Main Forum anyway. It can get a bit scary in there and I just have to edge my way out slowly...

Is anyone watching Celebrity Big Brother? Or are people boycotting out of protest from the farce over the summer? Just wondered who everyone's favourites were, so far anyway.

I thought it was a really good answer. I think one of the criticisms of Chris from the masses was that what he said or did about Helen was disingenuous. He wanted to get to know Helen, made an effort with her, put a certain amount of faith in her and then she'd go and do something which essentially threw it back in his face.

I'm not watching CBB but then I hardly ever do. It's overkill after normal BB IMO. I will be watching BBAUS which starts Sept 8th though.

I come in and check to see what's happening most days but I'll mostly lurk now until next year. Not that I posted much this year, the forum got a bit feisty for me.

Thanks for all the updates on Chris, I don't do twitter or facebook so I appreciate them. Chris is proving just as lovely outside the house as in so I'm glad I supported him this year.

I've never been as much of a fan of Celeb BB. With the time length being shorter it dilutes it a bit. You've also got a lot of people who are very media aware, but actually apart from a few notable exceptions, you have that in the civilian BB now too. I've never seen BBAUS. Does it differ to the UK one much?

If you can't listen live it's always archived so you can hear it any time. Good old Dr Detroit is also going to upload BBAus. I've heard very good things about it, like it's old-skool BBUK. Ironic because it got took off air for a couple of years after a very nasty sexual assault in the house but now it's back apparently much better than it ever was.

Anyway, mind if I vent a little in here? Now that the show's over we're heading into the phase that makes me uncomfortable and I actually got quite upset over it yesterday when I cottoned on to what some people are doing. I've mentioned in here before that I've had bad experiences in a HM's Facebook group and I'm not going to name names or go into gory details but sadly bad memories are now being dredged up for me.

Basically this is NOT a complaint about the existing members of the group or Chris himself but, for everyone's sake not least his own, I hope he doesn't become a regular member of the group. It was lovely when he popped in on Sunday to say thanks and the occasional guest appearance would always be a special treat. But nowadays thanks to FB and Twitter, HMs become a bit too easily accessible and from my own bitter experience I find a policy of keeping a respectful distance is the best way to stop any nastiness from happening.

I know Chris Tweeted the link as a thank you but I got a bit irritated by all these new people showing up saying "Oh I wish I'd known about this group weeks ago." Rubbish! If they were THAT bothered during the series they would have come and searched for it. Maybe some are genuine but no, from what I've been through, there's only one reason why you would want to join such a group after the event and that's because they've got wind of a chance to talk to Chris. And by "talk to" I mean act like they're his new best friend. Trust me, that's where no end of problems start!

OK I'm probably coming across as a bitter old cow who doesn't want to share. I guess I'm feeling conflicted because it'd be lovely if that group kept going to support Chris through his career (of which hopefully BB will just be a tiny footnote). He deserves everyone to be in there for the right reasons and at this stage after the game I can tell you not everyone will be. I believe if he stays a little bit inaccessible then those people who are there just so he'll notice them will get bored and go away.

Just beware the pushy ones, I guess.

Good news about Couch Potatoes, hopefully Dr D will give a far better interview than BB/BBBOTS did.

BBAUS is very good IMO, well the last two years have been.

Of course each series is dependant on the housemates involved but there is generally a good mix. I would say older housemates are non-existent usually no older than mid to late thirties. There's usually a good variety of personalities so you don't really notice the age thing. Last year they had a dog called George Clooney who was from a shelter, he was rehomed after the series.

I think the general differences between BBAUS and BBUK are that theirs is fun yet competitive, nominations are point based and are taken seriously by BB, the housemates know BB is in charge and the housemates are given the tools to entertain themselves and therefore us.
