"Although this years format is under wraps, Sharon promises it will feel fresh and full of surprises and that contestants will have to have a little something extra about them. She say's it's easy to spot suitable canditates- but wont reveal the criteria"
Although Im a fan of evil, but judging by this interview I think it will be different "feel fresh". A new theme is welcome only if it is better than evil. "Full of surprises... contestants have to have a little something extra about them" sounds really promising, hope it lives up to expections.

"Something extra"? So not just ordinary people but a whole house of fame-seeking talent-show rejects? But that wouldn't be a "fresh feel".

So what's both "extra" and "fresh"?

The ability to be manipulated by Endemol so they can get the show that they want.

Or is that too cynical?

I dont want to see ordinary boring people, who just sit around. Atleast "candidates with something different" entertain us.
