Well, other teams have injuries too, it's just we're more focused on England, because, we live here and have to read the endless news coverage!
Yeah, but hows it always when they pull that England shirt on, and about to play a WC where they drop like flies, they've trained umpteen times over the season, played umpteen games, and nothing, yet soon as they put that England shirt on for a WC , its an injury here, a tweak there, and looking doubtful for games.

That shirt also has an affect on their scoring, look at how many chances Sturridge missed the other night, yet if he had his 'pool shirt on, and it was just a league game, he'd have buried them, just like hes been doing all season, scored some crackers, yet as soon as he puts that shirt on, he can't hit a barn door.

Did you miss the game a week before?

Hopefully the team have learnt how too sing the national anthem and not just move the lips?

There's no logic to arguments like that though because a bad pitch would be equally bad for the opposition.

The pictures are emerging on twitter of the pitch. Poor show as the eyes are watching around the world.

That's my main concern too.

.
TBF That hasn't happened much this time if at all and if anything we've been accused of taking unfit players in the hope they are ok.

There will be plenty of manure on the pitch when England take to the field.

I had a dream last night that leaves me in two minds about wanting it to come true, although Italy won 1-0, on the plus side the England band were thrown out of the stadium because so many complained about them.

Looks like this might be a shoddy World Cup!

Oh boy.
This might not be so bad. If England lose the match, they can blame the pitch.

Rooney even says that in the BBC article above, if England lose on Saturday then hopefully the press and ocassional football supporters will remember that too.

Judging by the build up to this world cup, I think Rooney is more likely to be blamed than the pitch is.

No doubt he will be public enemy number 1 when he comes back

i had a dream we went 2-0 down in first 10 mins because of a poor rio ferdinand clearence and mathew upson sending off.

i think we have a good chance of eradicating those 2 mistakes to be fair.

Thanks, I've been living under a rock and wasn't aware of that. The thread title didn't make it entirely clear. Where's rolleyes when you need it? Although technically it's on BBC One HD too.

Wait, this World Cup is televised? I was going to wait for the reports in the newspapers the next day!

It's news to me too. I was going to wait for a wandering minstrel to entertain the community with tales of woe.
