It must start on the 8th of October?! Hope so!

Last year we had the first trailer 3 weeks and 5 days beforethe first episode, and we had the Sneak Peak trailer 2 weeks and 5 days before the first episode, and the candidates were revealed exactly one week before the start. Therefore, if The Apprentice begins on the 8th of October as I predicted, we should be seeing our first trailer very soon, and the candidaters shpuld be revealed the week after next!

I wonder if my new flatmates will like The Apprentice... would be fun to watch it as a group, I've never really done that before. I've shown it to people, but only when I've seen it first.

I think it generally is a very watchable program - most people do like it when they see it I'm sure

I'm actually happy that the series has been pushed back to the autumn. Autumn is my favourite time of year, so it's nice to have a series of TA to watch during these months. Also, the very first series I watched (Series 6) was an autumn series, so it just feels right to have the show in the autumn.

That said, I want a bloody airdate!

(Speaking of Series 6, that run started on October 10th, so the upcoming series may start around a similar point).

Yep this is the slot to watch:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/mediacentre/pro...rweek=40&day=5

Interestingly they've already got the likes of the Driver and who do you think you are listed on Tuesday & Thursday (on going series) - but the Wed 9PM slot is still free

Yep - Our Zoo finishes on Wednesday the 1st of October, so it only makes sense that TA starts the following week

I think Great British Bake Off finishes on the 8th, so that would be a perfect lead-in for TA at 9.00 pm if that turns out to be the date...

I'd imagine next year's series will be delayed too, as it was in 2010 due to Sugar being a peer and there being an election. Karren is also a peer now though, would having both Labour and Conservative representation change anything?

I feel like they'd use it to "replace" the Bake Off on a Wednesday, so it'll probably start the week of the 15th. They've been dabbling with double episode launch weeks recently too, so my guess would be launch on 14/15 or 15/16 October, then running through to the finale on Sunday 20th December, right before Christmas.

Or of course, they could have a Bake Off finale/Apprentice launch on October 8th, but I feel like it's more likely that the Apprentice starts the following week with a double bill.

Next year's series (assuming there is one, nothing is confirmed yet) will have to be delayed in any case, because there won't be time to hold auditions, film and edit it before the normal time next year. In Series 7, they got away with it because they were already filming when Series 6 was airing. In this case, they haven't even confirmed a Series 11 yet and I doubt they will make a decision until after Series 10 is completed, so they can base their judgement on how it goes. So in the event of The Apprentice continuing long-term, I imagine that Series 11 will be in Autumn next year and either that being the new time slot or Series 12 being filmed during broadcast of Series 11 like with Series 6/7. The other alternative of course is that there is no Apprentice next year and Series 11 is in early 2016.

Probably, I hope that we get confirmation this week (if only so that I can tell my sister and my nephew).

As for those special moments, I am guessing the following:

- ? (series 1)
- Airplane commercial (series 2)
- Cheese disaster (series 3)
- Marakesh (series 4)
- Pantsman (series 5)
- Stuart in general, but especially his speech in the episode 10 boardroom (series 6)
- The Madhatting Scavenger Task (series 7)
- Fitness video (series 8)
- The successful coup (series 9)

Yeah I reckon the 10 year overlook will look at all the pathetic performances such as the restaurant task disaster series 2, the beauty task series 7 etc, maybe some of the strong points and the memorable candidates and then the funny bits - should be good

There are plenty of memorable Series 1 moments. They could have Secret Signals, the embarrassing art task ('Are you the best person to talk to?') or the advertising campaign with the dreadful advert, dreadful commercial and Rachel's bare feet. Or if they want to show more positively-themed episodes, they could show Saira negotiating the freeview box down to nothing, the aggressive sales pitches for the chutney in the farmer's market task, or Miriam and James' amazing telesales performances (although I doubt they'd show that one, because it shows Lord Sugar in a bad light - his firing of Miriam was one of only two occasions that he has openly regretted later, the other being his firing of Liz in Series 6).

If you’ve been itching to know just when The Apprentice 2014 starts on TV this year then wait no more: The Apprentice start date has been confirmed.

It was revealed way back in February of 2014 that the new series – which will be the landmark tenth to have aired – won’t be starting until the AUTUMN.

And now we know exactly when it begins with a DOUBLE BILL launch on Tuesday October 14 and Wednesday 15 October.

Lord Sugar tweeted this week: “BREAKING: IT’S BACK! The Apprentice series 10 starts Tue 14 Oct episode1 & Wed 15 Oct episode2, then every Wednesday thereafter, 9pm @BBCOne”

There will also be a special tenth anniversary show airing on Monday night, October 13 on BBC One.

Lord Sugar tweeted: “Warm up for the new series of Apprentice with a 10-year special containing classic moments & characters”

Last year’s series ending up hitting highs of more than 6 million viewers on BBC One, proving to be a continued ratings hit despite having been on air for a decade now.

Applications for the latest series closed back in January of this year with filming having taken place over the Spring and Summer.

Mind you, I did put the other one in my list (also thinking afterwards that they will not show it for the same reason).

As for Series 1, perhaps because it was the oldest series (and I haven't seen back since it was on television), but I just couldn't remember anything from it. Also interesting to see if they will include Junior/Young Apprentice in this special.

Also, not forgetting probably the biggest special moment of any series:

This is Yas today (well, not literally today), by the way:

Why haven't you seen it since it was on television! We had a re-watch about this time last year, didn't you take part. Anyway, get yourself on YouTube!

I doubt they will include Young Apprentice, annoyingly, as the BBC do not seem to regard it as equivalent to the adult show. I do, and I'd encourage everyone else to, but the BBC don't seem to. It's just little things that get to me - they'll say 'This is the first time this has ever happened', when actually it happened on Young Apprentice. It winds me up, given that it's essentially the same show with a slightly younger group of participants.
