Japan probably rather pleased to hear the half time whistle because the Ivory Coast were putting them under concerted pressure in those final few minutes.

Sitting deeper and deeper the closer it got to half time, Japan will be relieved to still be leading.

I like Japan. Ivory Coast getting closer, but Japan just look better first half.

Yes, let's spend another few pointless minutes debating our loss, because that's always fun.

Exactly, if only we had the defensive organisation of Japan.

Japan are going in the right direction, be interesting if they continue to develop good players and maybe unearth a few world class players in the coming years.

Is it bad that I'm quite happy Wilfried keeps on missing?

Don't want him impressing anyone too much!

Can't believe I have managed to last the whole day with these games.

Watching the earlier games at my brothers helped .

Home now quite tired but think I will survive, if I watch in my bed I will probably fall asleep

Understandable. Drogba will probably replace him at some point.

I am very impressed by Honda. My Dad will be so happy when I tell him he scored, he has him on Football Manager and is always going on about him.

Yeah, he's a good player from what I've seen of him.

Japan look decent and seem to be matching Ivory Coast physically

I love how players aim a crafty kick, but make sure to put their hands up at the same time, like butter wouldn't melt

Hopefully we get to see one of Honda's trademark free kicks.

Have to say that Japan currently look as likely to score when they go forward as the Ivory Coast do.

Perhaps that will change with Drogba about to come on.

Drogba is still a top player, will probably be dangerous once he comes on.

I expected Ivory Coast to be better, they are Africa's only chance of getting a team in the second road
