I'm expecting the horrific news that Kym Marsh/Ryder/Marsh/Lomas/Marsh & Marc Baylis have also signed new contracts any day now. Well, they do say bad news comes in 3's |

It's wrong to keep this guy there. So many people are of the same opinion that he's crap |

It's not even Friday the 13th. So, he'll be there until a year August at least with a unique storyline coming up - hell's bells.

I barely notice the guy usually - he's been 'background' for ages now which is fine with me. But now he says he's got a 'unique' sl coming up in the autumn. Unique? Yeah, I'll believe that when I see it.
![]() On second thoughts, it would indeed be unique if the sl is that a bunch of soap fans from a well-known Forum, (whose name will be changed to protect the guilty), descended on the set, flash mob-stylee, and gave him a good toecapping. ![]() (I didn't really mean that of course, please don't report me my lovely friends). ![]()

Cotton hasn't done bad for himself considering he's played the same character in everything he's ever been in. His only ever half-decent role was as Alexander in Queer As Folk, and that was because he was playing a meaner version of Sean (which if the countless replies to the "nice and not very nice celebs you have met" thread are to be believed, is pretty much Anthony's off-screen persona).
His attempts at dramatic acting in the past few months (the horrendous attempts at heartbreak during Marcus/ Maria-gate, the toast to Hayely that single handedly derailed an otherwise superbly acted episode) have proved once and for all he's only capable of high-camp and nothing else. I don't know why I'm shocked, though. He was never going to be axed under the current EP's tenure, was he? |

*sigh* Rotten Cotton clings on yet again. He really does know where the bodies are buried doesn't he?

When is an EP with balls going to come in and get rid of him? He's rubbish.

The rovers bogs put in a better performance than that twerp does. He must have some dirt on some big wigs at ITV. No other explanation as to why his contract keeps getting renewed.

Not to have a dig at Cotton, however what is it with always being some members of the Corrie cast announcing a new contact every few weeks. I never see this with the other soaps. Its almost like self importance.
I wouldn't care if they did something instead of hanging around in the background. What next, we will get an announcement that Maria will get a massive contact, a big part of it spent her hanging around like an extra and whining now and again. |

Corrie bosses must have money to waste. Seriously though dislike of Dame Cotton aside, Sean is a dried up, tired out character who brings even less to the show than Kirk when he did nothing. Should have been axed years ago.

If Sean is being given a story that brings him to the forefront of the show, I will be switching off. Antony Cotton is the worst excuse for an actor I have ever seen.
