Obviously we wont find out who killed lucy till next feb which is taken a huge risk even though DTC said there will be a huge twist at Xmas. However theres till 6 months for that and 8 till feb. To stop it from dragging out and feeling stale is it time for the story just to take a back seat and have a small break at least until Autumn. That way when it starts again in September it will fresh and interesting. Plus whyle having a bit of a break can focus on Dot Charlie. Just think people will get a bit board with Lauren playing Columbo.

I think everyone in the cast has a crack at solving the murder. The actual coppers on the case are all off watching Wicked! in the West End.

Definitely time for this story to take a backseat for a while. Every episode is starting to feel like Groundhog Day going over the same ground. It's become especially poor since Lauren and Peter started playing detective. The series always goes downhill when Lauren is at the forefront and, I'm sorry, but Peter is a really boring character and actor. He showed so much promise last year too.

It's hardly taken over.

But I do agree at least the Lauren stuff needs to chill. She can't carry all these episodes, she's not a strong enough character.

I agree, OP. I am bored already. It's just not exciting to watch when we know nothing of real significance is going to happen for many months yet.

I think the next time we should hear of the Lucy storyline, there should be a substantial progression in the story, because so far I feel like we've just been being told things we already know.

I am bored of this storyline at the moment. It's covering old ground.
Yes a break is a must

Agree. It's a bit too drawn out & needs some substantial eliminations, etc. to hold our interest. Fun for awhile but get on with it, I say.

I actually find Lauren to be a lot more enjoyable character to watch ever since this Lucy stuff came about. She was awful for the majority of 2013, but this year she has come on leaps and bounds.

I really hope the inevitable Lauren and Peter romantic union won't be dragged out too long though, as I don't really fancy watching Lauren and Peter throwing longing at each other whenever the other isn't looking.

They made a mistake when they said it was going to be February for the reveal. If they kept it secret people might of stayed tuned

tbh they shouldn't of killed Lucy off so soon maybe a December kill and reveal in Feb would of been better or September

Yes, I do agree with this. You can anticipate the twists and turns so they aren't really particularly shocking.

I thought that I would love this storyline because I wanted to see Lucy leave (she was dreadful), but the storyline has grown tedious very quickley.
