I am not much of a football person but have always liked jose mourinho and must say him fouling olly murs has made me like him even more. It was quite funny and it helped i can't stand olly.
Yes, that was fun. What did surprise me in that game was just how good Clarence Seedorf remains. I know it was only a charity game with "legends and celebs" but he still looked a class act. Same with Edgar Davids, but he's still starring occasionally..for Barnet.

Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa has dropped the biggest hint yet that he will complete a move to Chelsea, telling Spanish media that "it looks like" he will play at Stamford Bridge next season.

When questioned by the Spanish reporters about whether he will join Chelsea this summer, Costa replied: "Well, it looks like it."

Azpilicueta seems to think the Costa deal is done.

Meanwhile, Chelsea right-back Cesar Azpilicueta, who is currently training alongside Costa with Spain, has hailed his forthcoming move to Stamford Bridge, adding that he believes the hitman's strength will help him easily adapt to life in the Premier League.

"Definitely! Physically, Diego is very strong and the Premier League is very demanding in that aspect. I'm sure he'll adapt – he can adapt to any situation," Azpilicueta said in an interview with AS.

He doesn't sound exactly over-the-moon about it, does he ? But perhaps he's a man of few words.

That would certainly make a nice change

Looks like Kalas will be going on loan to FC Cologne.

Was hoping for an English team, but it's better than sitting on our bench for another year.

Really surprised Kalas is going on loan. With David Luiz going to PSG we need cover at CB and he could have had a good run of games with us plus played in the cups. Hopefully that means we're bringing Zouma in.

Pretty underwhelmed by the Fabregas rumours. He's a nice little playmaker, but we need a preferably tall central midfielder to play next to Matic not another short no 10 wannabe.

If we want a player that's in the mould of frank then cesc is a very good fit.

We have matic at six foot four to add steel to the midfield, we don't need two do we? Mikel is still here when needed to spoil.

I'd rather try Oscar next to Matic if Hazard is the new number 10. I don't think we need Fabregas, though effectively swapping him for Ramires might be acceptable

Fabregas is a very good player, but I'm not sure how he will fit our line-up either.
He's basically another number 10..unless you can see him as deep playmaker. As Kana said, I'd prefer to see us get someone in the Yaya Toure mould. Pogba looks like he might fit the bill, but he would cost a fortune. I could see a player like that completely changing our chances, whereas I'm not so sure Cesc will make us that much stronger.

I can see Matic filling that Toure role.

He is a big lad who can gallop around the pitch, strong in the tackle and surprisingly effective when going forward.

I think him being cup tied probably cost us the chance of playing in the CL final last season.

I love that description. Poor guy, makes him sound like Carlton Palmer.

He is the exact opposite of him!

Yes, Matic is a very good player, made an immediate difference as soon as he arrived.
But it was the kind of signing that the powers that be at Chelsea should have made at least 18 months previously..not necessarily Matic of course, but someone similar.
I still he could do with a powerful box-to-box partner, with Matic playing the "sitting role" in front of the back four. If Pogba is half as good as some say he is, he would fill that role and make us unstoppable. But a lot of that is just talk, it will be interesting to see how he performs in the World Cup.

Speculation today is that Jose would swap Ramires for Modric
If that is true? then along with the interest in Fabregas, it would signal a complete change in direction for Jose, and one i would very much welcome.
Having said that, i can't for the life of me see how we could play with Hazard, Fabregas, Modric and Oscar in the same team

Congratulations on signing Cesc, you have got a heck of a midfield there now, quite what your best set of players will be I don't know!

Brilliant

Can't understand why the Luiz move hasn't been announced yet. Really don't fancy watching Brazil matches expecting him to pick up an injury and put an end to the deal.

Bless the gooners.

They really are going to blow their own brains out one day if they are not watched by adults.

But for me its a wait and see signing. No doubt a great player but just not sure where and how he will fit in. But its good we have started getting the sales and buys done as quick as possible, hanging around is never good. City and Utd will be spending big this summer and getting into a bidding war with those two wont do us any good so while they are sorting themselfs out its good we are getting in there and getting the players we need

Yes, I agree. We don't want another long Rooney type saga taking is into September. I'm still a bit confused, is Costa now a virtually done deal, and did we agree to sign Tiago in the end ? I suppose until the transfer window opens, things won't be officially confirmed.

I'm not sure how Fabregas is going to fit in either. It looks as if we'll have an embarrassment of riches in the attacking midfield department..again. Still, one thing we know about Mourinho, he's not going to sacrifice defensive solidity to play pretty stuff, so I'm not worried.

I think he's a good signing, he's a good replacement for lampard. Remember man utd we're desperate to get him last season but failed. He hasn't got worse in one season. He was one of the best players in the premier league. Will prove to be a good signing.

Courtois
Ivan terry Cahill aspi
Matic fabregas
Willian oscar hazard
Costa

Would be an amazing starting line up next season!

And we would have Ramires, schurrle, lukaku, Cech on the bench still!

If that's the formation we go with I'd rather see Schurrle on the left and Hazard through the middle. Oscar needs to work his way back in after a poor season.

Still hoping for another CM and a switch to 4-3-3.
