Bloody hell, one attempt on target and we scored. It doesn't get tighter than that.
No excuses, but the pitch did look poor today...ok, that was an excuse but I don't care.

The QPR players looked like they had run 5 marathons each while carrying heavy backpacks. Ours mainly looked like they could have played for another 90 minutes.
That is what is going to win you games like this. I saw a player who had came off for QPR while he was sitting on the bench and he look shattered. Jose's main strengths as a manager are mentality and fitness. The two main ingredients for title winning team. |

![]() ![]() Love it! Loved Fab's celebration after the goal, and Terry's too after the match. Massive win and Hazard with another moment of magic providing the assist. Credit to Oscar too, he changed the game when he came on. I'm past caring about our performances now - just need to keep getting the 3 points! |

Only watched it from the 70th minute or so, pretty good timing before the goal was scored. Sounds like it was a duff game, but at least we came away with the win.

Yep, you called it right at half time. I just wish they hadn't left it quite so late.
5 minutes before and it might have woken them up at the time we did score some off the players looked like it killed what ever they had left. Yes it might have only been one strike on target but I would rather have one on target and one scored then ten on target and none scored. |

QPR 0 v Chelsea 1
A massive result. PL winners often win games by narrow margins, and that's the mark of champions. Never give up and fight until the end. Who needs Lamps?!
A narrow, poor pitch, bad light, an opposition 100% up for the game who raise their play when they play Chelsea and hostile fans. I don't agree with Mourhino condoning the behaviour of opposition fans. Stupid. A pound coin could take an eye out and end a player's career. Shame on Mourhino for that comment. Ban fans who throw missiles. It's animal like behaviour, and has no place in football. Come on the Chels'! |

And when our fans are accused of throwing things on to the pitch the idiots in the media bring up those comments.
The manager saying anything won't make the slightest difference, it's about as useful as a FIFA anti bribe panel. Most of us know the people who chucked things are idiots we don't need someone telling us they idiots (and the people who do are idiots as well). They do it to make their self's relevant and how big they are, they want a reaction it's much better to do as Jose did, make them small and unimportant. |

It must get wearing when the media is constantly against you. The UK media and SKY are desperate to have a close run-in, and they seemingly will do everything to convince fans and subscribers that it will come down to the wire (like it did a couple of seasons ago). They are certainly not above causing trouble for the team at the top and ignoring the problems of the chasing pack. How many times do we ask ourselves, "if it were Costa/Terry/ chelsea fans etc doing that, the press would have a field day"? If terry had done the Kompany challenge, it would have been either red card, or it would be back page headlines on sky and the red tops. If chelsea fans had thrown missiles at rooney, or sang the vile chants that were echoing around the QPR ground yesterday, the same. Or if drogba had have feigned a head injury and then jumped up in the refs face like the city player.... Or if hazard would have blatantly dived like rooney... Or if costa had given sanchez two black eyes and a broken nose and the ref waved play on.... The media have somehow convinced the fans that chelsea are not playing well, that we are scrapping for victories and will no doubt say that we are lucky champions (if we do actually win). And yet we could win the league (hopefully) by 10 points or more when the teams below us have each spent hundreds of millions. Its easy to fall out of love with the game. |

At last some common sense! Better than some so called fans on this site (or should we say idiots) who don't even have the common sense to stand up to thugs. Come on the Chels'!

Nothing more then paying lip service.
Same as every time we have seen this happen. One or two people "get banned" and it's business as normal. I have lost track of the number of "banned" fans I seen at the Bridge over the last 25 or so years. So much so there was a saying "you cannot ban a Chelsea fan". There is nothing the club's can do, It's up to fans to police themselves. At the moment we are giving these idiots the oxygen they need and don't deserve. Check with QPR in a few months and the number of people banned will be very similar to the number of premiership titles Steven Gerrard has won. I would not be surprised if the idiot who jumped the hording did not even get "banned" |

Its impossible to police as you say.
how many of those hundred or so villa fans who did a pitch invasion, when the game was going on, got banned? |

Its not about standing "up to people".
Jose having a go makes no difference what so ever to what happened. Those "fans" are not going to say "Oh Jose has had a go at us we wont do that again". Its pointless and a waste of time. Its more likely make them to do it more due to their clear love and respect for Jose. Its not Jose's place to comment and all it does is give the media more ammunition for when our fans do something wrong. |

Well done to the Youth for winning the UEFA Youth League Trophy.
They could do the double as we have Man City in the two legged FA Youth Cup Final Hopefully they will get a chance to show the trophy off at half-time during one of the last remaining cup games. Always good to see another trophy |

>> 5) Branislav Ivanovic Some of the players on this list have been declining for some time, whereas for others this season has simply proved to be one too many. For Ivanovic, his decline is only just beginning, but it has been all-the-more noticeable for its suddenness. For a long time, picking the best right-back in the Premier League has been a straight choice between Ivanovic and Pablo Zabaleta, but both players are now in their 30s, with the Chelsea man in particular starting to get caught out up the flank a little too often. For a long time one of the rare modern full-backs as good defensively as they are going forward, suddenly Ivanovic is edging towards - if not yet into - Glen Johnson territory. Recent speculation that Chelsea are considering a move for Southampton's Nathaniel Clyne this summer suggests Ivanovic's dip in form has become a concern for Jose Mourinho. The only surprise is that Bayern Munich are apparently waiting in the wings should Mourinho decide to move the Serb on altogether. << A very fair and accurate assessment IMO. Only trouble is I'm not too sure Mourinho is ready to replace him. If he were, i think we would have seen Azpilicueta at RB and Luis at left-back on occasion. |

It wasnt a few months back that the uk media was claiming that ivan was the first name on the team sheet, even before hazard. When he was scoring goals, we has lines in the press that Ivanovic has scored more goals than gerrard (bar penalties) in the last few years. It is because he was getting forward into the box or at the line whipping in crosses that he scored. Teams cottoned on to how high (he was told by jose) to push up, leaving willian as cover, so they double teamed willian and it left us exposed. This gap from Ivanovic going forward also left Cahill exposed. Cahill and Ivan didn't become bad players over night, its just that the media is exceptionally rubbish at analyzing games that quite-frankly they don't seem to watch! As you say, if Jose didnt want him to do this, he would have been hooked and replaced before half time by Azpi and Luis in at LB. Dont believe the media, or fall for their comments. |

I don't think Jose will wait around getting rid of someone if needed (and they can be replaced).
Depending on if he can find a suitable replacement (at the right price or if we have not got one) as he knows winning next year title will be much more difficult with Utd back in the hunt. Clubs will always need a Brana type of player, His experience will always make him a buy-able player when we move him on |

I think it's a bit early to write off Ivanovic. As the article says, up until very recently his only rival for best RB in the PL has been Zabaleta (who I wouldn t write off either despite a recent drop in form). He's been tremendous for us and become almost an iconic figure at RB. I doubt many rival fowards look foward to facing him.
Branislav Is still only 31, there would be plenty of top clubs around Europe prepared to give him a contract if we did wish to sell, but I think we might regret it. |

The good thing is it will be decided by the best people possible if he is part of the first team next season or not.
Jose and his team are the best possible people to know what he is and not able to do. I have no doubts whatsoever that they will make the right decison |
