Hazard proving the difference again. Pretty comfortable win, even with Man U dominating possession they didn't really look like scoring.

Apart from the first half hour, when several players appeared to forget instructions, it was a tactical master class. I never had a doubt in the second half, Jose had obviously reminded the players of the game plan at half time and everyone stuck to their roles perfectly.
Not brilliant to watch from a neutral's point of view, but I found if fascinating. As Hannibal used to say..I love it when a plan comes together.

Chelsea 1 v Man Utd 0
‘We’re top of the league!’ rang out around Stamford Bridge shortly before the final whistle blew. Wins at Arsenal and Leicester in our next two games and the title is ours.

I'm surprised LVG didn't push Rooney foward earlier while pulling Fellaini back, he (Rooney) remains the most likely source of goals. |

We have won nothing yet.
Yes today was another massive step but we still have lots of work to do. |

Thank you, that's very generous. It might have been different if you'd made something out of your superiority in the first 30 minutes. After that we looked pretty comfortable really..but of course the goal helped.

We have dropped a lot of silly points, that we shouldn't have, whilst you have just been so consistent, so there really isn't any doubt that you deserve to lift the trophy. Hopefully this is something that we can build on, and that after the summer, we can really push you close, but that is for the future, at the moment, you should just enjoy this run in now, as it is one you can fully relax with. |

Massive 3 points, and with a 10 point lead feeling comfortable at the top. You'd have to say we have just about wrapped it up.
If we beat Arsenal next weekend it will all be but done, but avoiding defeat would still be good for us. Could have been a nervey few weeks if we lost today, and then lost to Arsenal though! |

A wins a win, just need two more. It's a bit of a struggle with The Drog up front. He does his best but it's really hard for him.

We do need Remy back. Hopefully he will be back for our next game (with Costa on the bench).
That will be a massive plus for us. |

Drogba can't be our 3rd choice striker next season. I know he's doing his best but if he's going to get another contract it has to be more in a coaching role / emergency 4th choice. Personally I'd keep Remy and also give Bamford a chance in the squad. We ideally need to spend what money we have available on other areas really.

I'm wondering if we should just give Costa the rest of the season off. Unless we absolutely need him, of course, but after an injury-hit season it might do us and him better if we just give him a longer break before next season.

Remy must be gutted. Finally gets his chance and injury strikes.
It would of been a good sort of game for him today. |

If the title can be wrapped up quickly, it would be nice to see some squad players get minutes on the pitch, especially our European championship winning academy players. They should be a big part of the club's future.

Strikers
Striker wise for 2016 the club might consider four strikers considering it looks like Costa and Remy are possibly injury prone.
