The interview with Mourinho sums up why I wouldn't want anyone else as manager. Cool and calm, he knows this is just the start of a long and difficult job if we want to progress further. A quiet celebration, then back to work. That's how true champions stay at the top.

Awesome feeling right now. Terry was class with his interview.

Champions again, love it.

Yep, with Jose in charge the work for next season would have started weeks ago.

This is why we are champions.

The other teams can spend hundreds of million more than us, like they did last summer, but they are stuck with the same old problem.

Rodgers
Pellegrini
Wenger
Van gaal

None of them are future winners.

Nothing like being gracious in victory eh?

Congratulations to all you other Cheslea fans.

You've clearly been the best this year, despite my objections to the way Mourhino has you playing.

Be good to see a couple of youngsters given some game time in the last 3 games.
Wouldn't play Costa again this season.

I wouldn't quite go that far. But I do think that Man City, Arsenal or Man Utd would probably have won the PL with Mourinho. Always bearing in mind we would also have had a different manager.
Man City already had a team that was capable of winning the league, but Pellegrini is no Mr Motivator, is he ? For Utd Mourinho would have made better and more logical summer signings than Van Gaal..though I do rate him as a manager. Arsenal were probably only a decent striker and CB short of winning it, Jose would have fixed that. Wenger is a good manager, but they spend so much time faffing around, they usually miss out on signings that would make the difference. Liverpool always had too much to do after losing Suarez.

Congratulations to Chelsea.

Worthy champions despite what some are saying.

Any team that wins the championship, after playing 38 games is worthy of praise, even more so when it's done with games to spare.

I donot understand why people rate Lvg. His tactics are terrible. Yesterday he played Fellini up front to bid balls to rvp. David moves got sacked for the same tactics.

I hope that he stays.

I disagree with almost everything in that post but the bit in bold is ridiculous. Moyes was sacked for taking the reigning champions down to seventh, missing out on the top 4 by a sizeable distance. He certainly wasn't sacked for playing Fellaini up front. People complained about the defensive nature of the football but it was the pathetic results that got fired.

Agree with both of these posts.

Don't feed the troll. It'll only end one way.

To the rest of the Chelsea fans on here, congratulations. Thoroughly deserved title winners, been the best and most consistent team by some distance.

Totally agree, congratulations to Chelsea, well done you guys were the best team in the league this season easily.

Hopefully United will run you closer next season, I certainly hope so.

Once again congratulations to all Chelsea fans on here - except the troll.

Well played Chelsea it has been a season for singing Blue Is The Colour with gusto!

Also well done to JT for wishing Rio Ferdinand well at his time of loss. A classy finish to the campaign.

What a wonderful way to debate on a forum about football.

I honestly don't think that the other teams managers players yes) can beat Chelsea next season. They need a change.

Fergie was worth at least 15 points a season, and currently we are 13 points clear. To me, the manager Jose is the reason why we won so convincingly.

If you think that's trolling, you are mistaken.

I love jose's attitude. Celebrate for five minutes, then start planning for the next game. Like him or not, what a winner.

That's exactly what Fergie and UTD used to do.

I don't know if you guys and gals and gals read this, but we are the first PL champs in over a decade to have made a profit in the transfer market. So nobody can accuse us of buying the title this season. We've also played with a fairly small squad.
Yes, the other top teams should improve next season but so should we! They must be worried to see us win the title by such a margin while not playing well for half a season.
Also, we are now the 4th most successful club in English football which is something else to be proud of.

Well done to Jose and the lads and all the backroom staff to a well deserved title.

Thats where City have always failed after winning. They rested on their laurels.

I think there will be a few in and outs and hopefully Jose will introduce a couple of youngsters to the squad. Would be great if the academy formed the next generation after this one.

We must put in a better effort in the CL next season of course along with defending the title. At least we are in Pot 1.

Agree about City.

We'll need to use more players next season if we are to challenge for the title and CL.
It's been said a few times from within the club that the players have been tierd for quite a while and that's a lot to do with our performances dropping off in the second half of the season.
If I had to choose one over the other I'd prefer another league title next season, then look for another CL. Either one would be great though!

You need to spend to compete; that's just the way modern football is now. Where would we be this season without Costa and Fabregas? Spending shouldn't be perceived as a bad thing, but spending wisely should be differentiated between spending recklessly. Over the years we have done the latter, but with FFP we have started to shift towards the former. Terms like "buying the title" is such a naive way of thinking. You look at teams like Barcelona and Real Madrid and they all have teams full of top players - Bale, Rodriguez, Neymar and Suarez. Top players come at a price and it's no wonder they continue to dominate on a European level.

Anyway, we're Champions! . We're so incredibly lucky to have Jose here. When I see Pellegrini saying
It is important for the fans to play attractive football. We did exactly the same that Chelsea did this year, but we scored 158 goals last year
I just can't help but laugh. We did play attractive football at the start of the season - some were even trying to claim this was the best Chelsea side ever! (Although, I doubt one Chelsea fan actually believed this hype). But what separates Jose from Rodgers and Pellegrini is that he will adapt his team to get results when it is necessary. Man City are constantly embarrassed in Europe, but it's OK - we play attractive football so this should excuse our efforts of not being able to reach the quarter-finals. And in Liverpool's case, ironically it was their attacking approach which cost them the title in the end. It's just funny how some people are willing to celebrate an arbitrary measure of football rather than an objective one. At the end of the day players want to win titles, playing attractive football is just a bonus.

I know that nobody on here gives a toss about what the media thinks of Chelsea, but they (including Talksport) have been very fair with their assessment of Chelsea's performances this season.
Everyone has said we have been the best team and deserved the title.
They've praised the football we played in the first half of the season and understood the pragmatic style of the second half of the season.
They've all praised Jose.
There was also a good comment that if anything was boring this season it was because the other teams failed to put up a decent challenge to Chelsea. I can't think of another team playing below their best for the second half of a season, yet still being able to stroll to the title.

Its good to see jose extending his deal for the next 4 years.

Love him or loath him, he really is the only option at chelsea. He has also stated that if he leaves, his next club with be in the PL (so thats united, city or arsenal!!!) i dont think i would like to see that!

Will we play loftus-cheek in the next three games?
