Even the Sunderland goal hasn't perked up any interest in the game. The only point of interest in these dead rubber fixtures is seeing the youth players make an appearance but seeing as none of them are on the pitch….

Well we already brought Costa and Remy on, so we'll only see one youth player at most. Think Hull or Newcastle are the games to switch to in the second half.

Will Cuadardo get a medal at the end? Can't remember how many league appearances he's made.

Gerrard's Liverpool career really is ending on a massive downer. No wonder Sterling wants out.

Great last day of the season. We get the trophy, the Drog bids a fond farewell and Liverpool give us all a laugh by getting hammered.

Have to say it was a fantastic speech by The Drog.

He will make a fantastic member of the back room team if he goes that way in his career

Yes and nice to see one of my heroes Petr Cech in goal one more time.

Another top performance from Willian yesterday. Hope we can count on him to continue the same way when next season starts.

Jose's already mentioned the need to refresh the team. Still think the squad could do with 3 players as it is now, plus replacements for anyone important who leaves. Cech will go IMO, and if anyone offers £40m for Oscar I think we'd be mad to turn it down.
RLC can replace Mikel in the unlikely event that we actually manage to get rid of him....

I think there's a few players we should get rid of before we start thinking about parting with Oscar. Unless it's part of a deal to bring in someone who could maybe take the club to another level..Bale for instance.
We have to get a striker and a keeper to cover Courtois, presuming Cech is leaving. After that an experienced player to cover or play alongside Matic would be useful. Then maybe an attacking midfielder who also poses a goal threat. I think we could get away with the back four for another season, unless someone like Varane is available.
I have a feeling there's going to be some crazy prices quoted for players, a few clubs are going to get their fingers burnt.

My thinking with Oscar is that this is the last summer that someone would be willing to pay that much for him. Another poor season and his value will drop significantly.

Pretty sure Varane signed a new long-term contract earlier this season, but I know he's someone Jose likes. Isn't Khedira out of contract this summer? I'd take him on a free, but his injury record would make a large fee too risky.
Griezmann and Benteke would be my 2 choices for the attacking roles. Bale would be nice, but I expect he'd cost a ridiculous amount.

I suspect any silly offers for Oscar or any fringe players would be accepted. Just how the club operates now.
Would not surprise me in the slightest if Chelsea went for Falcao on loan, on lower wages than now. Jose would think he could get a turn out of him and he's the sort of player RA loves.

Oscar does seem to suffer from burn-out, but for a young guy he's played a hell of a lot of football since he was in his teens. I'd like to see how he performs next season, at his best he's a terrific asset. Don't forget, up to Christmas we were playing some great stuff and Oscar was part of that.
I agree, can't see us getting Varane. Why would RM want to sell, he's getting regular games now and must be a big part of their future plans.
Yes, I like Griezmann to give us more of a goal threat from midfield. But again, he may be happy at Atletico and he's only been with them for a season. We were linked with Koke, who would have been great as a more DM player. But he's happy staying put, Simeone is fine manager so I can understand that.
Benteke ? Not so sure. Would he be satisfied playing as our number 2/3 ? I have a feeling someone will offer £25/30m for him and that may be excessive for a back-up.

Of the names going around, my dream trio would be Bale, Pogba and Varane..can't see it happening though.

I doubt we'll even get a £30 million bid for Oscar Sadly, it is time to take whatever they can get for him!
Obviously Mikel and Ramires should be moved on. Maybe keep William as a squad player but definately look for someone better for the first 11.
Remy has done just about enough to be kept on. With Jose only playing one main striker most of the time a top class player won't come here to be warming the bench most of the time.
A big no to Bale joining us. He's simply not worth the money.
Cech is far too good to waste his time as a number 2, so after his great service I would like to see him be allowed to move one of our main rivals if they bid for him. I will be sad to see him go!

Reading your posts Dixon, it's hard to believe we have just won the PL. A minor miracle with all those dead-beats.

I'm glad you're happy to keep Willian as a "squad player" though, he has consistently been one of our best players over the past few months.

As we all know the great UTD and Liverpool teams always looked ahead the second a season had finished. They cleared out the weakest links and looked to bring in better players. Those dead-beats (your words not mine) were, and have been our weakest links for two seasons running.

In Oscar, I thought we had a real talent in the making, but sadly, he hasn't lived up to that early promise. The odd flash here and there is not good enough I'm afraid!

As for Willian?
Mike Ashley has said he's staying at Newcastle until they win something ( I think the Sun will burn out before that happens) so William can stay at Chelsea til he creates and scores another goal.
