I can't believe Ramires is being offered another contract.
The guy is clearly past his best and should be making way for younger legs and preferable by someone with more ability. As champions, we really should be looking for better than these bits and pieces cloggers!

Latest: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/foo...aul-Pogba.html

Pogba on the way in exchange deal with Oscar going to Juve. I reckon Oscar plus £20 to £25 million plus add ons.

Also, Griezmann coming in with Salah and Luis off to Athletico.

If deals like that can be done, I reckon we have a very good chance of winning the PL two seasons in a row again. Shrewd business.

Agreed, young legs PLUS experience is what wins the big trophies. Ramires is a great player to bring in / on for part of the season, has a great attitude and can score some crucial goals. Think CL semi against Barca.

Yes, i must be!

He is a clogger! For a championship winning team he is a very poor passer of the ball and gives it away far too often. His tackling is quite dirty and at times a bit nasty. Imho, he has lived off that away game at Barca.

The great Man Utd and Liverpool teams won loads of titles because they never sat back and thought they were the bees knees. After winning a title they would be ruthless in identifying the weakest links and going out and finding better players in those positions. Ramires can't even be a first choice in the worst Brazilian team in living memory. The same goes for the marathon runner. That should tell you a lot about their abilities, or rather lack of them,

By the looks of it, you seem to think we are a great side with no weaknesses and can't improve Instead of sitting on the fence and agreeing with every sinGle thing Jose says or does, how about you naming players in the first team who we should move on and look to find better?

Oh we can be improved, but ramires is a bench player. What are we supposed to do, spend milions on improving the bench getting in players who are not happy to be there? We can only play 11 players.

None of us agrees with everything that Jose does, getting rid of Schurrle and KDB are massive mistakes in my eyes, as is selling Cech to Arsenal.

Who should we look to move on in the first team?

Courtois
Ivan
Terry
Cahill
Azpi
Matic
Fabregas
hazard
Oscar
Willian
Costa

My answer is none of the above.

Keep them, and worry about getting in better replacements than Mikkel !

I like oscar and want to keep him, but yes, i would swap him for Pogba and push Cesc forward. That would be my signing this summer.

Sadly, i would now ship out Oscar.
At a push i would keep Willian but most definitely only as a squad player. I am not a fan of bits and pieces players in top teams. I want players who are really top class at doing something, be it defending, creating or scoring.

Also, a question mark against Ivan. If we had another player from midfield who actually scored and created, we could then tell Ivan to stop bombing forward and concentrate solely on defending. Him bombing forward and Willian covering for him doesn't make much sense to me!.

While its a massive shame and he will be missed we have done (once again) a fantastic deal.

Never understood all this "not selling to rivals" nonsense. He is only going to want to leave to go to a club who has the ability to challenge for honours so no matter who we sold him to they would be a "rival".

Players are no different then any asset in a business. Its pointless having one of the ability of Cech if we not going to use it. 10m for a player that we only gave 6 league appearances to is fantastic business.

Yes we could have played "hard ball" and insisted he go somewhere else but what would that have truly gained us? Sweet FA at the end of the day.

Cech has been a fantastic player for us. He has literately put his body on the line for us. Are "fans" really going to be so childish just because he happens to have gone to Arsenal? It was the most logical club to go to.

Agreed. Our best ever goalie who helped us win the lot.
He should be going with our best wishes.
Let's hope he doesn't teach the Gooners how to win. He knows how to that's for sure.

He might but does Wenger in 2015?

We didn't just have Cech with the will to win, We had a team full of like minded players, while it's a small step in the right direction for them they still have a high way to go, buying Cech was a no brainer and logical to anyone and helped by the perfect storm of his contract not having long left and us having a better option, if just one of those situations was true then we would not be selling. It's not a piece of genius from Wenger, there was only one club he was going to

The only shame is that courtois is not 4 years younger.

Let's hope that arsenal take more points from our rivals now

Why ? He's around for at least 10 years.

Because we could have seen cech finish his top flight career with us and then have Courtois to take over.

Lets hope DDG goes to Real, so they keep their hands off Courtois.

Makes no difference to us. He has taken over and that's all that matters at the end of the day

Terrible
The ones I've seen look awesome! This design will make the Brigde not only a fantastic looking stadium, but also stylish, cool and different from anything else in world football.

On a further note. According to a source, Roman, is one day going to pass ownership over to his son. Chelsea FC is in secure hands for many, many years to come!

Well it's certainly different. I need to see some more images and preferably not sepia toned ones.

We have to get this right, it will be the stadium for the next 100 years perhaps.

Roman is going to give the club another 500 million to do this, incredible!

It just goes to show how lucky west ham are, in effectively the taxpayer giving the club a similar amount.

Seeing that Stoke seem to have had a £12m bid accepted for Shaqiri, would he not be worth a punt for us? Especially if we can offload Salah and/or Cuadrado?

The only attraction would have been the price. I don't think Shaqiri would have been much of an upgrade on Cuadrado. Shaqiri appears to have been inconsistent since leaving Basel, where he was a big fish in a small pond with all the play going through him. Good value at around £12m though, I agree.
I see there are strong rumours of us signing Arda Turan (although he could also be joining Barcelona or Man Utd). He would certainly be a "Mourinho type" of player. Strong, skillful and hard working with a bit of "attitude" about him. Not the goal scoring midfielder we really need though. It doesn't look as if we'll be getting Griezmann, who is happy to stay where he is for the time being.

I'm starting to get a bit twitchy about our lack of movement in the transfer market.

Last year, Jose knew exactly who and what he needed, but this year it's doesn't seem so clear. So far, all the talk is of loan deals and moderate level buys. Atm, there's no sign of anyone coming in who will improve the first team. Players like Turan will not improve us one bit! He's just one more of those dull, bits and pieces workers.
