Since then?

Failure followed by failure followed by failure in Leagues.

Sorry I forgot he has had an awful lot of bad luck

That bloody cats fault, if it only it had walked out in front of Jose's car instead the world would have been a different place

Did I say they didn't know anything about the game?

I said they are more interested in being part of the entertainment industry and dumbing down football then reporting about a sport, Never said they cannot do it in a sensible and intelligent way it's just they chose not to.

Apart from Gobshite Savage, I think many of those who work for the BBC are very fair and sensible! There are some in other areas who are pure wind up merchants, with Talk Sports, Adrian Durham, being the worst offender. A shame he goes in for that because he's actually a good presenter.

Rafa was hardly a failure at Liverpool!
He was unlucky in that his time there was slap bang in the middle of a top four being the strongest it's ever been! Four high quality teams who were all good enough to be very serious contenders for Champs of Europe!
That Liverpool team would have strolled to the title in this current, below par era!
He did lose his way towards the end though!”

Nah, they would of found a way to lose it. That's what they do. You can't keep being unlucky.

You also know that Roman wanted us to change our style and that is why we went out and bought Hazard, Oscar and Mata. That change in style and direction was going to take time. Roman lost his nerve, so took the easy option and turned back the clock and went for Jose.”

You make it sound like the first half of our 14/15 campaign never existed.

It's like he doesn't watch the games!

We were playing really well, then got thumped by Spurs. When Jose realised we could and should win the league we changed tactics auto makrpe sure we did nit lose it like lfc did in the previous season

I see that McEachran is on his way to Brentford for £750k. Shame he never made the grade with us after a promising start, but just like Kakuta it appears the right attitude and application wasn't there to progress. Think we also made the mistake of paying them too much too soon. At least we're starting to move on some of the deadwood that's been out on loan now.

Yes, but they only want to take him on loan, with the "possibility" of a permanent move.
They also claim to be interested in Oscar and Willian, but only make insulting offers (not that we should sell anyway)
I've gone off Juventus, don't trust em.

Some of the players we are still paying are outrageous!

Yep. Josh lost his desire when handed 37k a week, which made him think he had made it.

Ten million not that much? It's a huge amount, and three more than Spurs offered

Its not really when you consider what we will be getting

If you just take in the ticket income from just the league games, 10m is nothing.

I think you have said how lucky West Ham are with their new ground. Are they not paying 15m per season????

No, the 15 million is the total cost they have been asked to pay towards the 272 million it's cost the taxpayer to change it from an athletic stadium to a football stadium.

Of course, the stadium cost over 500 million to start with.

West ham will then have it on a 99 year lease , at a price of 2.5 million per year.

So for 15 million and an ongoing 2.5 million per year, they have a taxpayer funded 750 million pound stadium.

They also have Upton park to sell

That's a great deal!

Yes it is BUT Wembley for 10m per season is just as much a great deal and is very cheap deal. If you just do the math on league games alone it's fantastic, if you then add Champions League games it's a amazing deal if you then put domestic cup games in to it then 10m is very very cheap

Several times I said we played some fine football during the first half of the season.
Also, even though it wasn't pretty, i said i was happy with us grinding out results during the second half of the season - ( 1 )Because we had gone long enough without a title. (2) Because Jose had gone two years without one of the big ones, so that eases the pressure on him.
We need to move on though and start playing good football again!

As for where we should play?
A big no to Wembley, from me!
We wouldn't sell it out and playing in front if lots if empty seats would not only look bad and effect the atmosphere, but maybe effect the players as well.
I'd bite the bullet and play at Fulham. The ground would always be full and the atmosphere would be better as well!

Not sure we could get away with sneaking in on a match day. My days of climbing over locked gates are over. We of course could try playing on the same days they have games but think someone will notice

There is one truth in football

You don't win league titles without playing "good football" throughout the ENTIRE season.

Perhaps you haven't read the articles.
The maximum attendance would be 50,000.00 so that shouldn't be a problem.
The loss of revenue playing at Fulham would be huge.

Never mind that the facilities (or the state of the pitch due to over use) would nowhere near be good enough

This transfer window really is a non-event so far. Our pre-season tour kicks off in under two weeks and just one signing so far that most of us didn't even want. Here's hoping for some news soon that we can all be a bit more enthused about.

Do we still have a better team than our rivals? Yes.

They have hardly strengthened yet neither.

Agreed. We definitely need improvements, but none of the players we're being linked with are inspiring much confidence IMO.
