Moses needs to play sometimes, deployed on the right, where he can get inside and run at defences and cause a lot of problems. Two problems though:
1. JM might tell him to drop deep where he is not effective; 2. He might get some good crosses in, but Falcao and Remy and not quick or mobile enough to get on the end of them. THE TEAM NEEDS ANOTHER WORLD CLASS QUICK, AGILE, STRONG STRIKER! Stones? It's too good a long term investment to miss. Get him now. Cuadrado? Send him to a tough boxing gym with Oscar, toughen them up, and bring them back slowly. |

If you find that world class striker let us know because we could do with one. There doesn't appear to be that many around at the moment.
Its ok to say what type of player we need but to actually come up with the name now that is asking too much |

I really thought Cuadrado might actually show something against Fiorentina, his old club. No such luck, £ for £ he's fast beginning to look like one of our worst signings ever. Get rid..if we can find a buyer.

Next time one of those 'name your club's worst ever XI' topics comes up he's going to be the first name I think of from now on.

Benzema might be available, and that's the quality the team need. Jose knows him well
And is now sidelined with injury for a month. Back to the drawing board. |

daily star
so, getting back on topic, who fits the bill? Even though he would have been overpriced and not world class, I would have gone for Benteke. |

Quite obviously I was talking about signing him before Liverpool made a bid.
At Liverpool and with Roger's obsession for unbalanced football, He knew he would start more games there. We showed our hand and Liverpool would have gone after him offering more money, Not sure what he is on at Liverpool now or how long his contract is but would bet its awful business. The days of us saying "I want that one" and them signing are over, More so this season when as any of our rivals (Utd,City,Arsenal and at a push Liverpool) are a more sensible choice (and will offer more money). The market today is more tough then it has ever been since Roman has joined us. There are not even that many waste of money options opened to us |

I say that only in half jest. Signing players is not one if his strong points as a manager. |

If we what your precious media says as fact its not Jose who signs the players so it wont be a issue.
Raniere was by far our best when it came to clever signings. |

I like Benzema, but unless Costa really has no chance of recovering from the persistent hamstring problems, I think we're better off sticking with him. As attractive as it looks, I can't see us being able to keep them both happy. I'm hoping Arsenal don't get him though. The addition of Benzema would make their challenge for the title considerably stronger. |

The only players that have smacked as 'board signings' were Sheva and Torres.

Who will win the PL?
We're all fans here (you assume), and we all want the Chels' to win, but realistically, many pundits are not backing Chelsea, and the reason - the lack of a world class striker who will stay fit for at least most of the season. I agree. There is no excuse imo. The club have got the money to go out and buy a quality player, or at least try to. The first thing the winners in the past did after winning the PL was to go out and strengthen. There is no standing still in this game.
The scenario that's unfolding at the mo' is, shaky results and a lack of goals up until Christmas, and then panic buying for a striker plus a heavy premium because it's the January window. It doesn't take a genius to see where the problem is. I hope I'm wrong.

Just look at the defences rather than the strikers of the top four rivals.
United, garbage, Liverpool, garbage, arsenal and city are dodgy. That's where it will be lost, when the defence lets in 6 against Stoke with no strengthening. |
