All those teams are from bygone eras. Even the Arsenal side were over a decade ago now. Keegan's Newcastle were liked by a lot of neutrals but weren't successful anyway, so completely irrelevant. There were plenty of people though that didn't like those Arsenal and Liverpool teams. The rest of them are just so far back they can't even be compared to anyone in the modern day. That's why I mentioned 'teams around at the moment'.

He used world football since its invention, and could only come up with 8. Lots of which no one is old enough to remember, or watched either live or on tv.

Of the only team in the last ten years, he chose one who were cheats and spoilers, who played for draws!

I think Dixon thinks that if the media hype something up it means everyone else must think the same. I knew plenty of football fans that disliked that Arsenal team and enjoyed seeing them slip up. Some people might have had a grudging respect for them, but adored by most they certainly weren't. They were no angels, that's for sure with the likes of Vieira, Keown, Pires etc.

Begovic; Ivanovic (c), Zouma, Cahill, Azpilicueta; Matic, Fabregas; Pedro, Oscar, Hazard; Remy

Subs: Blackman, Terry, Mikel, Ramires, Willian, Kenedy, Falcao

Remy is a surprise, but the right choice.

The current and recent Barca teams.
The recent Spanish team.
Even Man City got plaudits for the way they won the title

ps. Today we have a chance to get back into the mix, so today is one of those days when i would take anykind of win.

Barca and City are both teams that many people dislike. Spain aren't a club team obviously. As I said, there aren't any successful club teams around that are almost universally liked.

Jumpers for goalposts, the sun staying out all summer, leaving your front door open. Homemade lollys.

No bearing on the the game today.

Or, he would be, if we got the ball in that area. Shit performance, once again.

Terrible first half, we just haven't turned up. I have to agree with the pundits, Newcastle just look like they want it more. They are winning every 50-50 ball and apart from a couple of long shots from Fabregas we haven't looked a threat at all.
What was Zouma doing for their goal. It looked as if he just left it, did he get a shout from Ivanovic ? A depressing 45 minutes.

Didn't look like there was any communication. Dreadful defending....no idea what is going on with any of them right now.

Falcao and Willian coming on.....that does nothing for me. Kenedy would be a better option right now - he'll have no trouble running at their defence.

Not a surprising result I have to say. I thought Newcastle would probably turn up today. At least we showed a bit of character to come back from 2-0 down, more than we have managed at almost any other stage this season. A point doesn't really help us climb the table much though.

Nothing surprising about the result.

Our latest results have got to be taken in context. A Champions League result against a team that at best would be a mid-table championship team, a mentally weak team in Arsenal and League Cup result.

But there has been some slight improvement. At the start of the season we probably would have got a draw with Arsenal the way they played and lost against Newcastle.

It's a shame Mikel could not come on and score the winner, with Willian and Ramires getting the goals Mikel scoring as well would have made for a good laugh on here

The result may not be surprising, but our first half display was the worst I've seen for a very long time. We looked lethargic, off the pace, and just didn't compete.
To be honest, I don't know what the answer is. I've seen fans on other sites calling for mass changes, but you can't just make knee-jerk reactions from game to game. Matic had a poor game, he hasn't been the player he was a year ago at any time this season. But do we rest him ? For a long time he was our most consistent player. Ivanovic has clearly been off form, but do we risk Baba Rahman when we're desperately in need of points ?
Ramires came on and changed things, does that mean he should now be considered a starter ? How about Fabregas, after a good game against Arsenal he again went missing defensively and left us looking very lightweight in midfield.
I don't envy Mourinho having to make the decisions, we've been poor but it's not easy to put your finger on exactly why. We outplayed Arsenal last week even when thay had 11 players with the same team as we had today. Then Arsenal win 5-2 against unbeaten Leicester and we struggle against a Newcastle side that has been woeful all season. Football doesn't make sense sometimes.

If we had a squad of 18 top players I wouldn't consider it knee-jerk to drop at least 6 of our first team right now. I really don't understand how so many of them have regressed from this time last year..?? Hazard came to life is the second half, at least, but we still shouldn't be in a position where we are relying entirely on him to make things happen.

Rahman might be bad, Ivanovic is dreadful. Even Wallsall made him look like a chump FFS.
Mourinho dropped Cole when he was playing better than this. He's dropped Terry. But Bran just keeps on getting picked......

Awful performance for 70 odd minutes. Thought we had turned a corner.
Not sure if it's a point gained or two lost.

You need to get with modern football mate instead of living in the past.
United, Liverpool, Chelsea, City and Arsenal are all mostly hated by the neutrals for various reasons.
When Liverpool blew the title Demba Ba became a national hero. It's nothing to do with style of play either as Liverpool played in a good style.
You are deluded if you think it's any other way.
These days, being popular = losers

Sadly, yesterday proved everything i have been saying about Zouma!
It's all very well talking about him having pace, but that's only when he's running in a straight line. With his giant stride his overall movement is just far to slow and lumbering and he cannot adjust quickly enough at this level!. He will never be good enough for us so should be shipped out asp.

Why is Matic still in the team? He's another one who's form started to dip during the second half of last season and this season he's been looking like the player we got rid of.(
Oscar, continues to disappoint. Pedro is doing much either.
It's come to something when we have to rely on Ramires and Mo to come on and save the day.
Hazard, looked a bit better but still very little in terms of end product.

But, again, we have not been playing well for a very long time now and the worrying thing is there is we are not even close to solving our many problems.
I'd bite your hand off for no trophy and 4th place at the end of this season!

When exactly did ''modern football'' start?
Last year? Five years ago? Eleven years ago?

I would say when it started to be awash with money. Take your choice from there.
Your fairytale of football is admiral but not for these days I'm afraid.
Get success and you are hated. Just the way it is.

I noticed you made no comment about his performance against Arsenal last week.
He had Walcott, the bloke you wanted signed, in his pocket.

Zouma still looks like a great prospect to me. A lack of communication between our defenders is hurting us right now.....it's a shame he, probably, won't get to play a full season with Terry alongside him.

Nobody played well for Arsenal!
Zouma has pace so he can cope with pace. His problem, and it's one that will stop him from becoming a good time player, is his poor footwork and movement. You csnnot get away with at the top level in todays gane. Sadly, he will go the same way as Michael Duberry.

Yes, i would have Walcott in our team in the blink of an eye! Better than Remy and Falcoa put together!

Btw. Good Chelsea phone with Jason Cundy on Talk Sport right now.
