Yes, i would have Walcott in our team in the blink of an eye! Better than Remy and Falcoa put together!

Btw. Good Chelsea phone with Jason Cundy on Talk Sport right now.”

Highly unlikely unless they have banned idiots from calling in and that won't happen as they will not get any callers

Very true.

Plus kids are not attracted to the teams that play "good football" nowadays they are attracted to winners

Why is Matic still in the team? He's another one who's form started to dip during the second half of last season and this season he's been looking like the player we got rid of.(
Oscar, continues to disappoint. Pedro is doing much either.
It's come to something when we have to rely on Ramires and Mo to come on and save the day.
Hazard, looked a bit better but still very little in terms of end product.

But, again, we have not been playing well for a very long time now and the worrying thing is there is we are not even close to solving our many problems.
I'd bite your hand off for no trophy and 4th place at the end of this season!”

Let's be honest you would do that every season

Yep, and that is also how you sell shirts in Asia. They want to associated with winners.

People have so much access to football that they have different needs when it takes to consuming it.

Kids want to go to school the next day and say their teams won and win trophies titles etc. They don't go into school and say "but my team play attractive football"

We all have views on what we want football to be but we have to live in reality as well.

William's goal was a fluke just like his last one.
Ramirez goal was brilliant! He showed with his goal at Barca that he has these very sporadic moments of quality. However, spiradic moments are not good enough for a top team.

Mark Saggers and co were talking about Roman, today.
Apparently, and surprusingly he is not the slightest bit interested in selling shirts or making money. What he really loves about being at Chelsea is being close to the players, be it at the training ground, in the dressing room or at the table having a meal.
He's said to be a genuinely nice, fun loving guy, and one of the jornos actually saw him eating and having fun with the players and playfully hitting one of them over the head with a spoon.
The one down side for him has been when he's made some bad decisions on the advice of others.

I don't live in a bygone era.

Fergie, wanted to win and win by playing good football.
The reason Jose didn't get the UTD job was because of the way his teams play.

Wenger wants to win and play good football. So too does Pelligrinie.

The fact he's done it two weeks running suggests otherwise to me. He bends them on target so that if they don't get a touch off a team-mate then they have a decent chance of going straight in. Very hard to defend against. Zola used to do similar.

Hold on, you are going off course mate, just for a change.
You were talking about teams being liked.
Well if you think any of those teams are liked then you are more deluded than I thought you were.

how do you know that's true about Jose. Do you have a contact at United or did you hear it on Talksport ?

How do you know why Jose didn't get the Utd job? Or he was even considered for it?

Wenger might want to play good football and win but has failed massively

And that's why all those clowns who talk about when Roman leaves.....
It ain't happening. He's totally bought into owning the club.
He's going to fund the new stadium.
Everyone makes a bad decision once in a while. Letting Jose go the first time around was probably his biggest. That was a great team that went in for years....

While he might not be interested in making money from Chelsea he knows even when running a business in a non profit model you still need run it in a professional way and part of that in the football world is selling shirts in places like Asia etc

You still here?! Mourhino was devastated when he wasn't offered the Man Utd job after SAF left. Check your facts.

Bizarre Newcastle result. Still don't understand why Ivanovic is keeping his place, or why some players who are playing great in the cup comp's aren't being given a sniff in PL games. Loftus Cheek, Kennedy, Rahman.. surely they could be given some PL playing time. Don't understand that.

If a player plays his heart out and then gets automatically dropped for a player who is constantly under performing, that imo must be very demotivating.

Since this is a fact I am sure you will be able to show evidence backing up this "fact"

Player of the moment Ramires. Was it r'mond who was saying he was finished?! Eat your words my friend..

ramires used to be one of my favourite players, i hope he can getr back to his best.

He played a HUGE part in us winning the CL, even when he knew he would not play in the next game.

Players like him and willian, when on form, are absolutely fantastic and so under-rated,

Nice try Tip Top.

I don't think it was me who compared him with Mo Farah.

Because playing great (I would say decent is more realistic) when you are playing teams of a much lower level is very different to playing decent (or great) when playing a team in the Premier League.

To be fair the team that started against Newcastle was the same team that beat Arsenal, aside from the suspended Costa obviously. JM was probably hoping we'd turned a corner after that win and wasn't anticipating such a poor first half performance.

Yes, and you have to give some credit to Newcastle. They were really up for it from the start, and we just didn't compete physically. I was impressed with Mitrovic, we had shown interest in him before he joined Newcastle. Only 21 years old, his 45 goals in 90 appearances for Anderlecht show he has something. Possibly another Costa, he always looks ready for a scrap If necessary.

Sometimes you have to hold your hands up and say "OK they deserve that" and Newcastle did deserve that result. Even in our current form they played well.

Newcastle have been accused of not having any fight this season and the weekend proved that is not the case. If Wenger used the game (more so the first half performance) as a blue print of how to play us and I include times when we was playing well his team would have a much better record against Jose but of course he won't
