Who gets in your 433?
Willian Costa Hazard I'd like to see Oscar tried in tat deeper role, but I can't see it happening. Overall I'd like to see us be more flexible with our starting formations......starting the same way every match is too predictable. Also, Willian and Schurrle would be competing for that place - one needs to be more consistent, the other needs to offer more of a direct threat. |

Oscar was outstanding tonight. He would have been my man of the match despite Neymar's two goals. He was everywhere, putting in tackles, intercepting passes and making some great crosses. In that form he has to start for us.
Back to Chelsea. A 4-3-3 might work with Oscar, Matic and Fabregas playing behind Willian, Costa and Hazard. But I would still like another strong ball-winning type of player to use when necessary. In the past we've had Lampard, Essien and Ballack in midfield, but they all combined strength, skill and energy. Oscar and Fabregas look a bit lightweight in comparison. In those days we also had Terry (at his best) and Carvalho in the centre of defence, I'm not sure we're so strong in that department today. |

Oscar was definitely the best player on the pitch. Great to see after a piss-poor season with us.

For a player of his age to be involved in a World Cup in your own country is something special and was always going to be on his mind as it got nearer and nearer. I think the World Cup will be making of a few players and Oscar will be one of them. Everyone talks about Hazzard being our MVP going forward but for me its going to be Oscar. |

Oscar had a very good/excellent start to the season for us but then his form dropped and I think that was always going to be the case the closer we got to the World Cup and I can understand that.

I was also surprised at how physically strong he appeared last night, riding tackles out wide, then winning the ball in central positions. With his ability to pick out a pass and score goals, it makes him close to the perfect midfielder. There was also a chance to compare him with Modric..no contest in my opinion, Oscar was head and shoulders above him. |

Yes, I was impressed at how mature Oscar appeared to be when he first joined us. He seems to be able to do a job anywhere and follows instructions, he should be a joy to work with for any manager.

Filipe Luis about to be announced as well. Second choice LB, or moving Azpilicueta to RB?

The more i see of Costa, the more i'm convinced we've gone and wasted another shedload on a carthorse.
He isn't remotely near a world class striker! |

He isn't remotely near a world class striker! I'm not convinced about Costa either, but there's not many readily available options around with his recent scoring record. |

I'm worried about his temperament. Winding up the opposition will only be funny until he gets sent off and we're left with Torres

Not officially, but everyone (Costa, Mourinho, Azpil) is talking like it's done.

![]() ![]() Actually I was surprised there was so little competition for his signature. He's only 25 (but looks a lot older) and scored 36 goals in 52 games last season. So if the agreed price is still around £32m that doesn't seem excessive in the current market ? In other words, if it doesn't work out, I can't see us losing much. |

Any time we buy a player its a risk but the Costa deal has been done in the right way. We have looked at him during the course of the season and not just a space of a couple of weeks we have not really paid that much cash for him meaning even if he has a awful time with us we wont lose that much cash.
His disciplinary record is not that bad 7 yellow cards last season. Is he the man for us? We will find out but on every single level he was the most logical player to for |

With costa and Lukaku and ba, we certainly have a big strike force up front. Hopefully can hold the ball up for everyone.

I don't really keep track of football journalists, but isn't Guillem Balague supposed to be well respected? He blamed Casillas' awful performance last night on Mourinho
