he is on loan at reading

"Reading FC responded to the allegations by telling reporters to contact Chelsea, from whom Piazon is on loan. “He’s a Chelsea player, so you’d need to speak with Chelsea,” said Mark Bradley, head of media relations for the club."

Thanks a bunch Mark Bradley.
They're quite right not to comment on it.

(a) The alleged event happened in the summer, not when he was on loan there
(b) Imagine if they did pass comment on it without running it by Chelsea?

There is only 1 person to replace Jose, if he is pushed.

Carlo.

Names like AVB and Rodgers are clearly members of the press having a laugh at our expense.
Carlo? On a caretaker basis or as a permanent appointment?

I wouldn't want to see us going back to any of our other previous managers when Mourinho leaves, unless it's on an interim basis only. The next permanent appointment should be someone who's not done the job before and will come in with new ideas.

I can't see Ancelotti coming in for you guys.

Abramovich sacked Mourinho then gave him the job back and is potentially sacking him again. He's not going to feel great about that so I don't see him immediately repeating the process again.

Agreed, I really can't see it either. Sometimes I think people are a bit quick to forget that it all went a bit pear-shaped with Carlo in his second season too. If we draw on Sunday then our first eleven PL games this season will have equalled that dire run we went on during the 10/11 season.

If Jose was to go, IMO I wouldn't go for Carlo if I was Chelsea. Somebody mentioned Conte on the other thread, that'd be an interesting choice.

Yep that's it.

They are not really geared to making comments on items like this. They are not used to dealing with the level of interest or the type of interest that this might generate. Much better to pass it over to people who for this sort of thing is bread and butter stuff and is a walk in the park compared to the normal stuff

Begovic; Zouma, Cahill, Terry (c), Azpilicueta; Mikel, Ramires; Willian, Oscar, Hazard; Costa

Subs: Amelia, Baba, Matic, Fabregas, Kenedy, Falcao, Remy

We played better without Matic and Fabregas on Tuesday, so I can see why they're benched.

Liverpool equalise to cap off a very flat first half performance from us.

Sure would be nice if we could get out of our half for a bit......

Seriously, running out of words to describe how bad we are.

Yep. Who ever would have guessed that that would be a bad idea?

Started with 2 defence-minded midfielders and were completely outplayed by Liverpool. I really don't see what else Mourinho can do with this squad.

Yep, I think it's become as clear as day that the only way that he's likely to pull us out of this slump is by spending his way out of it. The problem is January's not a good time to buy as we know, and besides it's two months away. Thought we showed a bit of improvement in our performance on Tuesday, but this was two steps back again.

Well you can't hide the fact it's all a bit of a disaster. Once we conceded the goal in injury time of injury time I just knew we would collapse again. It was just like against Southampton.
Defensively we are all over the place and players are just out of so much form.
Liverpool deserved it. Back to the drawing board.
Jose looks a bit lost. I would stick with him and give him a chance to turn it around even if this season is a right off.
Let's give some others a chance in the first team.

Started quite well, but went downhill fast. You can usually find one or two positive things to say, but after that I can't find anything. We never looked like a team, no spirit, no sense of purpose. Something's gone drastically wrong.
Have the players lost confidence in Mourinho ? I don't know. But Jose's behaviour has been strange since the summer. He signed a new contract but he's not looked a happy man since the beginning of the season.

If he wants to go they need to show him the door. But if he wants to stay I'd keep him. I don't think there is anyone better out there from an outsider perspective. But they need to get to the bottom of whatever is wrong.

Any psychologist would tell you the manager has severe mental problems brought about by a self belief that nothng can go wrong.
