But even with this issue he was still a massive part of why we won the title.

Would he have made a difference to Arsenal? Yes 100%.

Yes of course it is a issue but if you have the sort of effect he can have on a team even if it's not constant it is still a massive plus so what you do is plan for those times when his effect is less effective like we did for the second half of the season

realistically who could you get that would be happy to take on the interim role? Roman isnt gonna hire someone full time now when he knows pep will be available.

he has to make an effort to get him.

He's hardly been on the LFC thread - and no we don't want him there either!!

The CFC thread has been maybe my most read thread apart from the LFC one in recent months (and the Jose go or stay one) and in reading it I have formed opinions of many of the posters. Maybe I should say no more - but the truth is that some are almost anti CFC by the way they post which I find odd. I admit I am no great fan of CFC myself but on DS there are several sensible pro CFC posters too - when I read them I 'get it' a bit more and I largely feel for them and others like them on what cannot be a good day for your club - Richmond, Joka and others too.

It is not my problem and so maybe its not sensible to even say anything but Lamps last Monday made sense to me when on the Monday Night Football he said there was no point in sacking Jose as you are not going to go down and you are not going to get top 4 so why not wait a while and see where things were at next summer before coming to any big decisions - it seems the powers that be felt otherwise. Right or wrong? - we'll see, I have no idea.

Hiddink appears to be a good safe pair of hands but I am not sure of the wisdom of the interim manager idea which it surely would be after the way Rafa being there as interim went. The key question remains why have so many not performed - Matic, Cesc, Costa and Hazard being the main 4 as last season largely they were excellent this season they have been less so. How can this be reversed? - it seems the powers that be think there was no chance of it happening with Jose there so they have made the decision they did today. I do not know enough to say if it was right or wrong. I would have to say though that your summer recruitment was poor but with the top class talent at the club already that did not seem to matter but when the top class talent played rubbish it began to matter a bit more. Perhaps Hiddink will get those 4 and the rest of the team playing better and certainly there will be less of a circus surrounding the club with him there if he gets the job but I am not sure where this is all going - and I bet many CFC fans feel the same. In all this you do have my sympathy- and with that I'll close.

No point asking him that, he's just a troll masquerading as one of our fans.

Are you serious ? You were impressed with that ?

I find it embarrassing that someone as clueless with the media as Emenalo is our Director of Football. They might as well have wheeled out one of the canteen assistants.

Anybody who never wanted him sacked read this:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/foo...er-Pay-go.html

Poor signings like Falcao too. He let player of the season Mata go. One season he won the title overall his record this time has been poor.

Using a link to the Daily Heil is only evidence of one thing

The poor signings are not down to him

First season closer to the title in years,Second year title so no the record was not poor

And then won the title with the team that didn't have Mata in it.

Where were you when he won the league? Were you hear telling everyone he should be sacked because he sold Mata?

Yes but the football has been boring negative one striker..

Under previous seasons we have seen two or even three strikers.

How can Chelsea fans be happy with 16th in the league with all the millions available? Football is about the moment not the past.

And people said give him more time he's had what two and a half seasons?

First one won nothing finished what 3rd? 2nd won the title as Man City were poor and this season lost the dressing room.

Given many games he lost he's had more time than other Chelsea managers. AVB was sacked when Chelsea were about 5th.

Do you even watch much football? If you did you'd be well aware that lining up with one striker is the norm these days and has been for quite some time, it's not exclusive to Mourinho.

Bloody school holidays. Tip Top's bad enough but we've got this clown back again now.

One striker doesn't automatically translate to negativity.

Once again looking at a very small picture and on a very very basic level.

Other teams performances are irrelevant.

First season was a massive improvement on a team that had not finished near the title for at least two seasons (double points).

This "other teams was poor" reason nonsense for winning the title is well utter and complete nonsense and shows very little knowledge of a sport on its even most basic level.

What has AVB got to do with anything? You do not run a business on basis off "just because you did this to person x you do the same to person y" more so when person X had no where near the success as person Y. Utterly ridiculous statement and something you would expect to see in the red top comics that pass as "newspapers" nowadays i.e shows a complete lack of actual knowledge

Says who?

Do you mean by "previous" seasons those that resulted in not winning the title?

It's incredible how quickly things are forgotten in football. We spent 274 days at the top of league, a record in the Premier League, and we lost only 4 times in all competitions, with one of the losses coming after we won the title. And people want to claim we only won because Man City were poor? It's incredible the lengths some people will go to, to discredit a league title victory, yet you can bet your house these same people will defend their team's achievements had they won in the same fashion as us.

I think its just a sign of the modern "football" fan. Am not attacking their credibility as a fan of a particular club or if they are a "real" fan but I do think that many fans today are more fans of premiership football and top level football then one actual club, I think its massively down to Sky and how much football you can now see. People now have different needs and wants from the game. They trawl the internet and other media sources for anything "premiership" and then take those views and take them as their own to show how knowledgeable they are (no matter what the agenda of the source of the view).

Premiership football is very different from the First Division in the past and there is even a bigger difference between it and the rest of the football in this country. Is it a good or bad difference? I am not sure I have to say, times like this I edge towards bad more so when it comes to football fans (and I am including fans off all established premership clubs)

Yes but nobody said Chelsea would retain the title a bad season is 4th. 16th with all the millions in the team is crazy.

I expect Chelsea to win most matches now he's gone. It was either buy a new team or get a new manager.
